Hotel Tucson City Center

Beautifully renovated rooms- the decor is high quality - no particle board here. The room doors are impressive (I love a nice door) - definitely quality. We stayed in the renovated section and were pleased with our pool view from our balcony- watching the monsoons from our balcony last night was awesome. Once the entire hotel is renovated, I know this place will be impressive. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and want to personally thank Kaitlin for her friendly welcome and assistance with food delivery and helping us out with silverware. Kaitlin, you are awesome- thank you for making our stay during our travels enjoyable.

READ THIS REVIEW!..I shouldn't have paid attention to the bad reviews, it was stressful and I was freaking out wondering if the rooms were going to be clean. The hotel lobby was clean and nice. Yes, the hotel had some outdated areas and only 1 building was available to use since the rest were under some type of construction. However, the rooms were spacious and CLEAN! I looked at the carpet and it was clean except for minor stains here and there. It's called wear and tear. The bathroom was CLEAN. The best part was the nicest staff! Everyone was very nice and friendly. When I was having an issue with my room key, and the front desk lady was walking by and saw, she asked if I was having trouble, I said yes, and she RAN back to the desk to get me a new key and RAN back. This was the second time I stayed at this property. The first time was last year, and at that time, it looked like the property had been recently renovated, and it was comfortable and nice. The front desk clerks on both occasions were not terribly warm or welcoming, but I was able to check in without any issues. I was given a room with two queen beds on the 4th floor. Upon entering the room, there was noticeable debris on the floor--it looked like the floor had not been vacuumed, and the carpet was obviously well stained. The beds had white comforters on them, and on one of the beds, the comforter was stained with something unidentifiable, and there was a small spot of what must have been toothpaste (it was sticky). I'm so glad I didn't read the reviews first. This place was great. Yes, there were stains on the carpet, and yes, it's a tad run down. But I'm so glad I stayed here-the pool, the kind employees, the comfortable bed, the tall shower head, the complimentary breakfast, it was all good. My only complaint was hearing the trains early in the morning. So glad I stayed here.

Let me first start this review by saying 1 thing, this hotel is under renovation and 2/3's of the grounds are closed. However, the part that is open and newly renovated is wonderful. I booked here for a personal vacation and had a very comfortable stay. Don't listen to the reviews saying the breakfast is disgusting and what not. The breakfast was hot and fresh, all delicious. I actually feel like this hotel did a really nice job with the breakfast buffet compared to other places. Upon arriving the initial room I got placed in had an issue with one of the power outlets. They quickly got me switched and gave me a slight upgrade. The bathroom was alot nicer in the new room. Both rooms were clean tho, and faced the courtyard and pool.
