Hotel Santa Barbara

Wonderful hospitality from start to finish. The experience truly began even before my stay. I reached out with a few questions ahead of time and received thoughtful, prompt, and genuinely helpful responses from William and Ericka, which immediately set a great tone. The welcome upon arrival was warm and inviting. I especially enjoyed my interactions with Keyana, who was friendly, knowledgeable about the hotel, and so fun to talk with. She shared great recommendations for things to do around town and made the experience feel personal and memorable. The room was beautiful and very well laid out. The bed was incredibly comfortable, as was the pull-out bed, which is not always easy to find. The linens were perfect and clearly high quality. I also really enjoyed having access to the gym. The

Beautifully remodeled and perfectly situated in the middle of State Street. Really lovely spot. |It was clean, ||We stayed in a queen room. It was also really nicely appointed, quiet, but a bit small for two adults and our 3 year old daughter (she slept in her SlumberPod). The rooms have a well stocked mini bar, snacks for purchase, and a hotel safe. ||They have a small gym but it was perfect for a quick workout. They also provide refillable water bottles in the room with a water refilling station per floor.||We look forward to another visit. The location is really hard to beat and the price, while not cheap, was pretty standard for Santa Barbara. The staff were also lovely, always friendly and happy to help.

I stayed at Hotel Santa Barbara on March 8, 2026 and had one of the most concerning hotel experiences I’ve ever had. We checked in around 9:30 PM under the reservation name Vanessa Gonzalez and were assigned Room 415. The air conditioning in the room was not working properly, so around midnight the hotel moved us to Room 315. During this process, individuals described by the hotel as “third-party security” were allowed into our room to inspect the AC and were then permitted to help transfer our luggage during the room change. Shortly after the move, I discovered that my Movado watch (valued roughly between $2,500–$4,000) was missing. Had a truly wonderful stay! Beautiful property from the lobby to the rooms. The stairs and the tiles used were beautiful too- free water (sparkling and still) by the ice box (bags of ice) which was a nice surprise. Stayed in a two queen room and it was perfect. Location is great- right on State st. The only thing I wished for was a faster elevator but everything else was tastefully done and great- highly recommend!!
