Hotel La Rose

The location was underwhelming. There are only furniture shops nearby. I wanted peace and quiet, so I stayed at the Carriage House. The bed was so comfortable, I did not want to leave. The room was modern, but sparsely decorated. The marble floor in the bathroom is nice, but slippery. The main hotel is cute, but I think I made the right choice staying in the quieter area. Bring you own food or use Door dash, which I did use. The neighborhood is a tad sketchy, but police cleared people out. Don't walk around this area at night.

Really enjoyed this hotel. Different... historic... well located. The rooms had a romantic vibe when you walk in. Soft light through a sheer curtain added ambiance. The room was peaceful. I slept great in the comfy bed. Recommend!

We got this reservation via Booking.com at the last minute after our AirBnb reservation went sideways. La Rose is a lovely historical hotel in the heart of Santa Rosa’s Railroad Square Historic District. It is walking distance from several wonderful restaurants and lots of shopping opportunities. The hotel is old-fashioned in the best way and, as a bonus, was cheerfully and tastefully decorated for Christmas. We had a Jr Suite which was clean and comfortable with lots of room and plenty seating to relax and read. The staff was very friendly and helpful and even found and loaned us a phone charger. There is a restaurant attached (Grossman’s) which is open from 8am-8pm and we can vouch for the delicious breakfast and coffee!||We will come back often!

Great old hotel in historic train district. Entry was nicely decorated for Christmas. Staff were very nice, friendly, and helpful. We had two rooms, one in the historic section and one in the new building across the street. Both very nice - clean, spacious, comfortable. Parking is on the other side of street. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful historic hotel with antique furnishings. The bed was very comfortable. Clean & quiet atmosphere. Located close to many restaurants, bars, & shops. Great value! Outstanding service, it was my birthday & we were surprised with a bottle of sparkling wine!
