Hotel Gettysburg

My friend and I arrived at the Gettysburg Hotel on New Years Eve. The Hotel and all the help were magnificent. Rooms perfect, food very good. The New Years Ball was so much fun for she and me and so well organized. We were seated with others we did not know but instantly liked. The food and entertainment were outstanding. Checkout was a breeze and too soon our visit was over. We'll always remember the wonderful time we had there and are thinking about returning next year. I highly recommend the Gettysburg Hotel to all, just remember to save us a seat by the fireplace in the lobby and at a Ballroom table.

My husband and I visit Gettysburg, from Wales in the UK, every summer for around 10 days, but this year we decided to make a second visit over Christmas and New Year. We usually stay in guest houses but decided to try the Hotel Gettysburg on this occasion and booked a King Suite for 10 days so that we had enough space and comfort for our trip. |When we arrived and went to our room it was so noisy. The entrance way felt as though it was shaking and we would never have been able to sleep through the sound. We spoke to reception who told us they could put us in a Queen Queen room and move a fridge and microwave for us. This was far from ideal, and was quite upsetting as I had spent time finding a nice place for us to spend Christmas, far from home, but we made the best of it. This room was ch

I stayed at the Hotel Gettysburg, with my girlfriend, for Thanksgiving, and Black Friday. I will stress the positives of this hotel first: It's in a great location: The center of town. We could quickly walk over to restaurants, shops, and wine tasting. The Gettysburg Battlefield was only a 5 minute drive from the center of town as well. Very convenient! The hotel has ghosts. Friendly ghosts, as far as I've seen. I heard a thud in my room, and a bag of chips dropped by itself. That was as nasty as it got. I know what I heard, but I won't insist on everybody believing in the ghosts here. The hotel restaurant, One Lincoln, served us very well on Thanksgiving. What an AMAZING event! This is the 2nd year attending and I'm certain I'll be attending again this year. From the time I contacted the hotel to make a reservation, to checking out New Year's day, the entire staff could not have been more professional & a pleasure to speak with. Everything is top shelf when it comes to this event package deal. The rooms/suites are gorgeous. The appetizers, salad, entree & desserts where all VERY delicious. Included with the package are 2 drinks & champagne at midnight. And to top things off, the band Bump City, was jamming the night away with their funk/soul music that kept everybody dancing into the wee hours of the morning.
