The good: Staff is friendly. The bars are fun and the breakfast is great. This review is all about the hotel stay because it was that bad... Do NOT stay at this hotel. Even for a historic hotel (read: everything is old/not updated) it was bad. Mattresses desperately need to be replaced. Water pressure is awful; showering is a bad game of racing to wash before the pressure drops to a near drizzle, returns, drops again, repeat. The place was clean though (credit where credit is due). Worst part is the noise. These rooms are all above one of 3 nightclubs that play music until 2am daily. They play it LOUD. You are warned it's loud (huge understatement) and they give you earplugs but that doesn't matter because music is so loud, the sound literally shakes the windows, walls, and vibrat

Centrally located in old town Tucson next to the train depot this historic hotel is attached to a Jazz Bar concert hall called the Century room. It’s the most convenient place to stay if you’re taking in a Jazz Show.||The 2story hotel doesn’t have an elevator so be prepared to lug your luggage. The windows and the walls are thin so it’s noisy and it’s also haunted with an Ouija Board in the lobby, but it’s more memorable than your run of the mill chain hotel. And it offers $10 secure overnight parking which is a real deal. Breakfast in The Cup is top notch too. We enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely do not stay here. Most of these reviews are for restaurants, bars and clubs on site. I would maybe have stayed here when I was 21 and needed a place to pass out after partying. But not in my 40s. They tell you it’s a loud hotel but it’s a complete understatement. ALL rooms are impacted not just their so called “club rooms”. Music and yelling were so loud until after 2am. Traffic noise was unbearable. The window didn’t shut all the way so it was even worse. The water intermittently stopped working in the bathroom. The staff was very kind and the food was great, but the fact that I needed to get an ID check to go upstairs to my room was hilarious because there was nothing to stop club goers from wandering around up there. Was so loud that two of our friends booked a room elsewhere

Positive: The classic, rustic nature of a hotel from the turn of the last century. Built in 1918, Hotel Congress in Tucson is a throwback to old-school dynamics, including leaving one's roomkey at the front desk, rotary phones and a cross-connected switchboard. Negative: Nothing. I'd stay there again without batting an eye.

So cute such a fun place to visit while in Tucson. All the staff was so super sweet and the bartender Barb whips out fantastic drinks and keeps up with a busy crowd. It was a good mix of a fun atmosphere but cozy seating to sit and chat! Loved it all! I love that they sell the postcards. They’re so cute such a fun little souvenir. I picked out four and a T-shirt and I just love them.
