Hotel Blue

For starters, my cousin lives in MB and graduated high school in February when we got all of that snow. I had booked a room at hotel blue and was not able to make it because it snowed a foot where I live and quite a bit at Myrtle beach too. I couldn’t cancel the reso which was fine I was willing to change the date. Moved it two weekends forward and they charged me 100$ more bc they said it was “spring break season” and let me tell you there wasn’t a damn soul there! I later found out from a family member who worked at these hotels before and said they’re not supposed to charge you more when weather is the cause of the change. Second, there was sand all over the floor, the carpets in the hallways leading to rooms are disgusting, and the hot tub also looked nasty. Almost 200$ for one night f

The location was conveniently close to everything. The atmosphere was very relaxed. Rooms were clean. Two steps away from the sand made it the best value to me. Definitely worth the price, you can’t beat the view. This time of year we had it to ourselves so there wasn’t any noise

Overall, this is probably one of the better ones in that area. Luckily I only stayed one day. So many issues, first, they charge a $250 deposit for their rooms, but they give you the option of paying $39.99 -non refundable if you don't have it or don't want them to hold that much, which was I guess a good accommodation. So I stayed somewhere else during the same vacation, and they only charged $50...and it was wayyy nicer-Homewood suites. 2nd thing, the staff curses in front of customers. The room was decent. It was a cup top on the balcony when we got there, so that shows me housekeeping does not go out there and clean. First of all the lobby is basically cement in the dark and a little scary. You can see what they call a lazy river it's indoors and very small and the water looks greenish brownish because the sides need cleaning. The pool is large and nice with lots and lots of chairs however there are no umbrellas at all. Not even on the two tables. So you have to lay in the hot sun. There are no beach chairs or umbrellas available to rent or borrow so if you want to go to the beach you either sit on the sand or you have to buy your own chairs and umbrellas at a store. Our first room smelled so bad of mold it was more than just musty it was actual mold. You open the kitchen cabinets and the smell of mold was intense. I woke up feeling quite sick so we had to change rooms and pack everything up even our f
