Hotel Avenida - Oceanside Camp Pendleton

During my visit, a staff member repeatedly asked me about my nationality and religion after I declined to answer. He then left the counter area and followed me outside to continue asking. Later, when I called about a possible lost item, the call was rushed and ended abruptly before I could finish explaining. I did not feel comfortable with the interaction. I recommend keeping communication strictly service-related with guests.

The hotel was a pleasant stay and very clean. There was the usual wear and tear you’d expect in any house or building, but nothing bad at all. The staff was nice, and the front office helped me right away when I forgot my key very professional. It was a great first hotel experience and I would definitely stay again. It’s not far from the Oceanside Transit Center and nearby plazas. The rooms were comfortable and the entertainment options were great.

🚨 ROACHES, ABUSIVE STAFF, & FINANCIAL FRAUD – AVOID!! 🚨 ​I booked a stay at Hotel Avenida (OYO) near Camp Pendleton and it was a nightmare from the start. ​THE INFESTATION: As soon as I checked in, a roach crawled across the floor. When I refused the room and gave back the room key, the front desk became hostile and argumentative. ​THE FINANCIAL SCAM: I have proof of a $100 deposit swipe at their terminal (Terminal ID: MSOIJROG), yet they lied to Hotels.com and reported me as a "No-Show." They are trying to steal my prepaid reservation money by pretending I never arrived—despite having my card info from the physical swipe! ​ABUSIVE "SERVICE": OYO Corporate is just as bad. They are rude, argumentative, and will literally hang up on you while you’re on hold. They leave you with ZERO reco

The people there just want money they took a extra 160 from us keeping our deposit for no reason, we paid a pet deposit of 60$ which we agreed on, we took out our trash left the room in perfect condition the mattress had holes in it and stains once we took the sheets off. The walls had peeling paint, the toilet was broken when we came in and my husband had to fix it.

i am gonna start first with an absolute and outstanding thank you to ell staff at this location, since graveyard front desk, maintenance gentleman to the room service personnel. Highly unfair this location has been given so many bad reviews, the word Motel is clear, therefore expecting a 5 start hotel treatment doesn’t make any sense with the affordability of their rates. I, personally, just checked out after spending quite few number of days as a guest, during which I managed, thanks to the patience of front desk staff, to book/reserve almost in daily basis playing it by the ear and accommodation of my personal schedule, without being denied, not for once, the chance to continued and interrupted staying , I wasn’t even asked to change rooms a single time which reflects the high quality o
