I stayed at Hotel Albuquerque for a conference and left genuinely impressed — more than I expected to be. The property has some age to it, but with that comes real character and history that newer hotels just don't have. Where this place truly shines is the people. I've stayed at five-star resorts that couldn't match the warmth and hospitality you'll find here. From the front desk to the room staff, everyone was engaged, friendly, and willing to actually have a conversation with you. That's rare today. The room was comfortable and clean, the location is excellent, and even the conference banquet food was a pleasant surprise. But the real difference — the thing that makes this place feel like home — is the staff. You can't fake that.
As some others have stated, this is just not a 4 star hotel by reasonable standards. Its a pretty old place in need of some updates to be considered 4 star. I did not expect to pay amenity fees and marketing fees. Total bill was a little over $338.00 for one night in a junior suite, which isn't much better than the average room. Only one elevator works, and apparently this has been the case for sometime. The water was hot, but the pressure was terrible. The food at the restaurant was good. The bar is only open 2 or 3 nights per week. Staff was generally friendly. If youre just passing through, there are a lot better options and better values in town.
This has been such an amazing stay!! Super close to the airport. The hotel room was in clean and comfy. The toiletries are superb and it’s the little touches that really count. ||The restaurant staff was friendly and the food and drinks were good. ||I’m here on a business trip. The attached conference space makes it easy to keep everything onsite. That made it really easy for me being 10 weeks out from a hip replacement.
Positive: Beautiful grounds, garden. Lovely pool at the hotel next door that was easily accessible. Negative: Restaurant in this hotel was extremely slow. One hour for 2 hamburgers, and one was overcooked.
My wife and I live in the northeast heights and are about to have our second child. We decided to take a short baby moon and stay here over a weekend. It was an incredible experience. We got massages at the Spa at Chaco, roamed Sawmill Market, had breakfast at Garduños, and had an excellent dinner at Seasons just a walk away. It was a great to “get away,” and they took such great care of us. Will be going back soon!
