We had a wonderful experience at Hotel 1888 from the moment we arrived. Parking was easy to find, and we were greeted right away upon entering. We were also able to check in early, which was a very nice perk. Because of that, we were able to head straight to the pool. The access from Hotel 1888 to the pool is excellent—we could go directly from our room and be at the pool in less than five minutes. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. The rooms were beautiful, from the ceilings down to the flooring, and the overall in-room experience was fantastic. The bathrooms were also great, and the amenities were well thought out. The only downside to our stay was the breakfast. While there was a good variety of options and the coffee bar was excellent, the food it

Really clean place, kind staff, regular sized hotel rooms that look right into the hot springs. Loved it there. People will fill into the parking lot when the springs open, there is parking all over the place (all within a 5 minute walk) everything including restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. Move your car right after the springs close to secure a spot in front of the hotel if you want one to load up easily when leaving. Recommend esp if you want the easiest access to the springs.

Bait & Switch! Splurged on this hotel for an overnight birthday trip. Arrived at 7 pm and was told we didn't have a reservation. Then it was found but our room was given to another couple so we were put in a much smaller room with no apology or partial refund. Room was more like a broom closet with a bathroom. Thermostat is not adjustable so bring a fan and prepare to be warm your entire stay. Bed was comfortable, pools were nice. The price of the room is not worth the value provided or convenience of staying on the premise. Also, designated guest parking is not available so prepare to haul luggage or unload and load near entrance. Will not stay here again.

We stayed for two nights in September because we wanted easy on-premises access to the hot springs pool without walking through the dry night air to another less costly hotel. Parking was right by the door, and the concierge greeted us immediately, gave us a tour of the hotel, shared its history, and walked us to our room. The room was small but luxurious and immaculate. Electronic wrist bands provided access to the pool and other amenities. Breakfast was good but not served until about 8:00am, so we were only able to enjoy it once. We enjoyed the entire experience and will definitely return.

This place is way over priced, unless you like having to walk half a mile from the parking spot (no designated parking???), being hot at night, having bright lights light up your room at night, not be able to open 3/4 of the door, or not having breakfast because the pool is down for maintenance. Still can't figure out how pool maintenance affects the ability to have breakfast for your overnight stay, but don't worry, they will still charge you full price for the stay. First night, thermostat doesn't work, but they have an after hours number, where no one picks up the phone after trying for 45 minutes. Thermostat kept turning back to 72 at random and heating yhe room back up. Then you have some device that is plugged into your phone with a BRIGHT blue light that lights up the entire room.
