Hostel of Maine

Just wrapped up my second stay at the hostel and each time I’m blown away by the friendly service and vibe embodied there. Jenn and Canaan are a stellar duo managing the place. Their skill, attention to detail, and professional dynamics made the stay a welcoming and memorable experience that I’ll cherish. I so appreciate the option to prepare my own food while there and the exclusion of tv’s and screens make it effortless to bond with everyone staying there. I’ll definitely be back again next season!

We highly recommend it. The warm reception was informative, there was good wifi, and good tips for hiking nearby trails. The shared spaces were comfortable and welcoming. Great stone fireplace in the lounge. Breakfast was included and there were many cold options. Our room was large with a private bath, king bed, and a comfy reading chair. There were great views of the forest through the windows. As an environmentalist I was pleased with their efforts to reduce waste, and the unpaved drive in and parking lot didn’t have potholes. Thanks for a lovely visit.

My husband and I loved this space so much. From the moment we checked in everyone was so friendly and accommodating! The facility was so clean and cozy. We are upset because for some reason our review on Expedia was inaccurate. We loved this place and can’t wait to go back next year!

Stayed here over Christmas and New Year's, and I must say Hostel ot Maine is a hidden jam, the room and bathroom are well kept and clean, the common areas are nicely decorated, the owners/the management of the property are responsive and helpful. Our entire group was happy and very satisfied with everything. Thank you for the great service and for making our holidays feel special.

This hostel is clean, charming, and very comfortable. It is one of the best accommodations I have ever stayed in. Its location is perfect, with many 4,000-footers easily accessible, and the convenient hostel shuttle service to trailheads makes hiking even easier. The delicious breakfast is a wonderful way to start the day. Kind and welcoming hosts make the experience feel special. I’d love to see more hostels like this throughout the Northeast.
