Homewood Suites by Hilton Indianapolis Carmel

Disgusting, dirty rooms in bad repair. Ceiling falling apart. Rust and mold in bathroom. Tub dirty as well as stained. An absolute disgrace to the Hilton name. Hallways stink and rooms are musty. Won't ever be back. This property needs an audit immediately.

Not at all to expectations. I reserved 2 rooms with balconies and got 1 room with patio (not a balcony if someone can walk up to your door and try to access, its not a balcony) and the other room had nothing. Small rooms. Thermostat was censored so if there wasn't movement the temperature dropped. So you set temperature and leave your room for a while, you came back to a cool room....not nice. If I was resting in my room, I had to constantly get up and walk past Thermostat so the heat would continue to run so I was comfortable. Would NOT recommend this place. Wasn't compensated for not getting the rooms I paid for. Poor customer service. High price for this place. Not comfortable rooms. Reserve a room at another hotel! RUN

Positive: I chose this hotel because it has a breakfast with protein (not just pastries), along with the pool and hot tub for the children. The young woman who checked us in (at4:30/5PM Saturday) was very welcoming and informative. Negative: I always look for how clean the room is. The shelves on the vanity were dusty and on the floors, the corners were not clean. Other than that the hotel room seemed clean.

From reading other reviews - I'm glad Michelle was on hand when we checked in as well. Seems like she is the star of the show here. I called ahead while we were on our way from the airport to ask for a quiet room, pack and play, and as fast of check-in as we could manage bc I had my 18-month old in tow and it was WAYYY past nap time. Michelle had everything ready, set up the pack and play for us, grabbed our bags and personally walked us to the room. She was SO nice. This hotel has plenty of parking and entrances so you can park closer to your room if it's in the back hall (like ours was) and the location is excellent in Carmel to the shopping and main things to see. Stayed one night ahead of my son’s surgery at a nearby location. Our room was great and had more than we needed. Michelle at the front desk was the most helpful and accommodating front desk manager I have ever experienced. And I noted not only that she treated guests with great kindness but also employees. I heard her offering the cleaning staff to bring them coffee or soda. Very impressive! Will stay here again as the need arises.
