Homewood Suites by Hilton Carle Place - Garden City, NY

I was there the night a room started on fire. Everyone made it out safely. The owner should be proud that he has amazing staff that dealt with a situation that displaced 10 rooms. Joana is amazing. She kept a smile on even after getting yelled at by many guest. I would definitely stay again. It’s staff like Joana and her team is what make hotel stays amazing.

We always stay in this hotel when we come to visit our daughter and grandchildren. We love the suite because we can all stay together and this time we were disappointed with being told they were out of order and they had to give us two rooms instead and not even adjoining rooms. The pool was out for the first three days. We met the general manager, Paul, at breakfast on our fourth day and it was like talking to a frozen person. He was not apologetic in any way and didn’t seem to care at all when we asked about the pool. Definitely not an overall people friendly person. We came back to our room last night to a warning of the water being off from 11am to 1 pm today.|Of course the day we planned to take it easy. |May rethink any future stays. 🤔

I want to leave an honest review because I was hesitant about staying here reading all the reviews online and I can tell you many were on point. I came here for a weekend getaway with my 2 kids. When I got in the front desk lady was kind but looked like she didnt want to be their at all. We got a room on the third floor , the room was nice & clean which I was happy about but here is the minus …I asked to have a room close to the elevator since Im pregnant and the lady said sure I have a room for you but it was not by the elevator so I was lied to. Also, that pull out couch bed is complete garbage, so flimsy and back breaking I’m surprised the hotel would let guests sleep on it. The walls are thin so you do hear noise and I saw this in another review and brought a white noise machine for my

Positive: Breakfast area, lobby, gym and parking very clean and well equipped, as well as convenient. Negative: I was VERY disappointed in the cleanliness of this pet friendly hotel. I expect that the housekeeping department has special cleaning protocols when a pet is staying in that room. I did not have a pet, but as soon as I came in, I could smell a pet.

DO NOT STAY HERE especially if you are a patient at North Shore Hospital looking for somewhere to stay while recovering. Many reasons below: 1) Did not honor discount rate that the hospital says they have due to me "not asking the right way". Ridiculous. 2) Says the property is smoke-free but REEKS of marijuana 24/7 3) Floors and walls are paper thin. You can quite literally hear everything so good luck getting a restful night of sleep. 4) Front desk is incredibly rude and unhelpful. Please learn from my mistake & don't stay here! Don't believe the 5 star reviews, I doubt they are legit. As a Hilton Honors member, I am SHOCKED that this hotel could be in the Hilton portfolio. Just horrid.
