This was the absolute worst place we have ever stayed in. Our flight got in late so we were past the office check in time. There are instructions to use the phone on the side of the building that, at first rang several times with no answer. Then all of a sudden it stopped working. We called the main number and were directed to what we were told was a supervisor who advised us to call and file a complaint in the morning. So at 1:00 am, no room, no response. The smell of marijuana was everywhere. One resident, guest, not sure who she was but she advised we bang on the back door because the worker” falls asleep”. Question: do all the rooms come with poorly hidden hoodoo/voodoo symbols painted on the doorways or was that a special for us? The cockroaches and I got along fine; they stayed on the walls in plain sight, and I pretended I hadn’t made a mistake not reading reviews before booking. Positive: there were no bed bugs (that I could see), praise the Lord. Didn’t love having to pay as much as I did to sleep here but as long as we don’t have demons following us home, we will be glad to never come back 🙂

I certainly didn't feel welcomed when I arrived. To say the reception staff were unpleasant is an under statement. The property is in a good location and has good parking. The room was very comfortable but I did see some roaches.

They keep insects here. An insect-friendly hotel... nowhere else could there be so many insects. I'd say it's a terrible hotel, but it's more like an apartment. People sit on the balcony all day shouting and smoking weed. The rooms are never cleaned. The room cards don't work. Every time you have to go to the woman at reception, who never speaks and looks at you like you're dirt, to renew the card. It's a terrible place, a horrible place. Don't be stupid enough to make a 10-day reservation.

The property itself is a bit hit-or-miss, but the service we received from Viva at the front desk was absolutely exceptional. She's the reason we made the ultimate decision to book the room. She was incredibly transparent, professional, and went out of her way to be accommodating during our stay. It’s rare to find someone so genuine. While the hotel has its downsides, Viva is a total rockstar and made the experience much better than it would have been otherwise! In closing, this hotel is very much you get what you pay for. Their weekly rate is definitely worth the stay, considering their location to the beach and nearby neighborhoods. You won't find cheaper with this level of cleanliness and hospitality.
