Homestead Lodging

This is place is a home away from home. The owners lori and Bob are so welcoming. From the first moment we walked in we felt welcome. They have a very nice organized office to check in, front and back parking, individual rooms (super clean ) lori took us on a tour told us about the history of the B & B and how it was started. The room we stayed in was very clean with 2 windows, air conditioning, lots of plugs for chargers large bathroom and a small refrigerator/freezer. The back patio overlooked a field of fresh grass, beautiful flowers and farms. The front very well landscaped yard had a very nice patio right outside our room. We had delicious fresh coffee each morning at 0800 and hot water and an assortment of tea. There was also a microwave on the coffee bar. The water was very hot and

We had a lovely time in Lancaster. Homestead Lodging is in a perfect location. It's only a few miles from the city and very close to the Amish. Additionally, it's on a road that connects the two roads to just about everything you'll want to do on your visit.||The hosts were welcoming and hospitable. They made sure we had everything before going back to the office. I contacted them to ask a few questions ahead of our visit, and Lori was very patient and helpful.||The bed was extremely comfortable. We slept like babies. There was an Amish farm behind the house, so we'd see the horse pulling the buggy a couple of times each day. ||Coffee was available for many hours each day, and a whole wall was full of brochures for you to explore. This was an unexpected gem. We always stayed at well named hotels, and they were always on the pricy side. Limiting the time, we were able to visit one of our favorite areas. This time, we decided to try a place run by local residents. We are glad we did. We had an enjoyable stay and it was very relaxing and peaceful. Lori and Bob were fantastic hosts, very inviting and helpful. The rates were quite reasonable. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The location was great and provided access to all the locations we wanted to visit. It was very quiet, and we definitely heard the clippty clap of horse-drawn carriages. This place seems to be geared more towards adults who are looking for a place unwind with peace and quiet. We are already planning our next visit. Thank you, Lori and Bob.

My wife and I had an excellent experience for our weekend getaway. We enjoyed the friendly service along with the beautiful location. The shower head needs a much needed upgrade due to kind of just misting everywhere but other than that it was a great experience overall. The walls are very thin and could hear the upstairs renters walking around and using the bathroom and the exhaust fan running. Great view if you are able to get the backroom though.
