Home2 Suites by Hilton Tallahassee State Capitol

I don't often give a rating like this. This hotel has got it 100%! The Staff is A-1, the room was clean and very roomy and quiet. The Breakfast and the set up was wonderful. It is near everything. We were there for only one night but it was impressive how the staff handled the influx of customers! There apparently was a home FSU game so lots of college students and families.

Our stay at this Hilton facility lived up to our expectations as most Hilton locations do. The staff was friendly and professional, our room was clean and fresh. We did not use any of the other amenities but the pool and lounge area looked nice. We will continue to choose Hilton Suites when available.

Great location and the service was great. But this property is definitely showing its age and is in desperate need of a refresh. It's your standard Home2 Suites, but everything was just a little on the rundown side. In the bedroom there was sawdust coming out of the sliding door to the bathroom because it had been grinding on its axle for so long. The caulk was falling out and discolored. Stains on the carpet. Dishes weren't displayed like normal but stored in drawers and we're dirty. The breakfast buffet was hot and fresh, the service was top notch, but again it was paper plates and plastic silverware compared to the same property we stayed at in lake City that was using glass and real silverware. The location is very convienient, it is around many food and shopping places. You can basically just walk. The room is very nice and cozy. Only complaint is the BATHROOM. I dislike the sliding barn doors, they have a huge gap in between and it feels like i have no privacy. The shower is a glass shower which felt like I had even less privacy with the huge gap in the barn door. The water sometimes nevers runs hot, and I'm stuck showering with cold water. Good thing the bathroom is facing the kitchen and not the beds, otherwise I would have felt like my privacy would be even more violated if you're sharing with other people. If you have a pet, there is a good area to walk your dog behind the hotel where the pool is. They provide poop bags if needed.

The 1st room was nice but the A/C was not working (it happens)but Ricardo who was working the front desk was super helpful in getting us another room, making sure all the esential ameneties where working for us. Ricardo was exceptionally friendly and efficient, handling our check-in perfectly with warm smiles and super fast and making us welcome. ;)
