Home2 Suites by Hilton Leavenworth Downtown

This was a three-week stay for business, and everything was great! The Reception Desk Clerk was very friendly and welcoming when I arrived to check in. All of the staff that I interacted with for that three weeks were extremely courteous and made me feel like a valued guest. The breakfast was always on time and had a great selection of items. The housekeepers did a great job; the days I needed the room serviced I’d return to the room for the day and everything would be perfect. They’d even leave a note saying that the room had been cleaned and that the dishes in the dishwasher were clean. They have a guest laundry room, so it was great that I was able to wash my own clothes during this long stay, and did not have to find a laundromat. Positive: The room was spacious. We had two queen beds and a pullout couch so everyone had their own beds and it was spaced out so we all had plenty of room. Negative: The pool was closed so kids were very disappointed. The toilet had a small leak so it made a high pitch sound whenever we flushed. Breakfast is free but basically gas station food (microwave sandwiches)

Probably the cleanest hotel bathroom I have ever seen. (Rm 126 Saturday night). Very comfortable bed. We did not hear any noise. Nice kitchenette. Peloton bike in fitness center. Cute retail buildings across the street. Great option if you are visiting Weston up the road but you don't want to roll the dice on AirBnB, bed and breakfast, or old buildings.

The good: The location is very convenient, but it isn't hard to get around downtown Leavenworth. There are several places to eat within walking distance and you can be on Fort Leavenworth in 5 minutes or less. The staff was always pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. The fitness center had the usual stuff for a hotel, but was actually a bit larger with more equipment than most hotels this size. That is important since a significant number of guests are TDY to Fort Leavenworth. I didn't have dog but saw several that did and the hotel was accommodating to man's best friend. The bad: The room size was about half of most Home2Suites. Home2 in this area was honestly disappointing. The breakfast was really not good and the pool was closed for maintenance during our stay, which left us with nothing to do with the kids at the hotel. The only somewhat positive thing was that the gym had decent equipment. It’s located about 8 minutes from Fort Leavenworth, which is convenient. I couldn’t sleep because there was loud banging and stomping from the upstairs for over an hour, so I went to the front desk. The male staff member said he would go upstairs to check, but it’s been 30 minutes and there’s still loud noise and running from above. We still can’t sleep.
