We were greeted warmly by Lucille and what an interesting lady she is. We would definitely return, if only to sit and chat to her. The house is old, full of character and decorated with quirky nick nacks and items revived by Lucille. It is also spotlessly clean. The guest room itself is small but comfortable. Our breakfast was delicious homemade pastries and plenty of them, along with fresh orange juice and tea and coffee. Location is along a quiet road, a short drive to Sonoma Plaza.

I was so pleased to find the Hollyhawk Inn. Very quaint and quiet. Lucille greeted me when I arrived and made me feel right at home, and at home is how I felt the whole visit. In the morning, we sat and chatted, I could’ve stayed all day, but alas, I had places to go. I have half a mind to return just to sit and talk with Lucille in her lovely home and hear about her upcoming adventure. Best of luck on your hike Lucille ! My friend and I had a fantastic time here! I want to preface this by saying this is an old fashioned Bed & Breakfast -- you are staying in someone's house. We had a cozy room and our own bathroom. The house itself had a wonderfully artsy, eclectic charm and the outside garden (which was in full bloom) was beautiful. The owner/host is a lovely and sweet woman. She chatted with us for a bit and made us a fantastic breakfast in the morning -- the pastries were incredible! In today's age of Air BNBs, VRBOs, and minimal contact with hosts, I think some people may be caught off guard by the Hollyhock Country House's style. Please just know that this is more of a traditional Bed and Breakfast. I would stay here again!

Lucille and Tom were friendly and welcoming. Pleasant farm house setting. No a/c but the house was cool because of all the shade trees. The room was small, but clean and decorated wtih Lucille's artwork. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean and right next to the bedroom. Breakfast was coffee, oj and fresh pastries. Overall comfortable, basic accommodations, not far from Sonoma Plaza and many wineries. We were happy to find a place that doesn't require a two night minimum stay.
