Holiday Sands South Vacations

Room was pretty spacious for our family of five. Some of the decor is in need of an update but everything was functional. The pool was clean but the hot tub wasn't working. Staff was also very friendly. A good place to stay if you're on a budget. But don't expect anything fancy.

This is an older property, but clean. . . and apparently in constant disrepair. December is the off-season, Sunday is normally a departure day, and it was freezing so we were able to check in early, but I couldn’t help believing we were bothering the desk staff by being there. The form we signed said “keep your valuables in the safe” so I asked if we might have one; while we were out on a side-trip, they called to explain they do not have another safe but can move us just down the hall – what appeared to be a relatively new safe, extra firm mattress, run-on toilet (all night), and security bar missing from the door. When I mentioned it the next morning, they offered to move us to another room (probably the one we left). I asked if they could fix the problems and he said he would send main

😊: Very convenient location, including free parking, helpful staff. Good place for the money. Having the kitchen in the room was very great.. 😢: The hotel is a bit old and the furniture and everything is worn out. We had two cockroaches in our bathroom, though everything was clean..

While I must commend the staff for their excellent service particularly Mike, who was very accommodating in assisting me with a room today the accommodations require significant attention. The rooms are noticeably outdated and are in need of a deep cleaning. Specifically, the carpets and upholstery (sofas) appear quite dirty. The hotel's location and parking were excellent, but the condition of the rooms was a considerable drawback.

Ive been staying at this hotel for about 20 years. The hotel is older but they take care of it. The rooms are always clean and staff is friendly. Its always a great price and its on the south end of Ocean blvd where there isn't as much traffic or noise. The view is amazing both day and night. As of now I have no plans to stay at any other hotel on my trips to Myrtle Beach. You also get to use the pools not only at this hotel but the pools and lazy river at the condos next door.
