Holiday Inn Windsor - Wine Country by IHG

Would stay again. Excellent staff! Tierra is the nice young lady that served our breakfast. She was attentive, friendly, and helpful. I wish I had gotten the name of the gentleman who checked us in as he was very warm and welcoming. I did not give 5 stars because the tub/shower was not draining properly and we had to stand in water while showering. I see this as a general issue at many hotels and many brands. I believe it is an issue of training cleaning staff to notice and report these things. I did report our problem at checkout. (We only stayed one night.)

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Windsor a couple of times and found it to be great value for money. I would recommend booking one of the premium rooms for a bit of extra comfort. The hotel has a large car park with reasonable pricing, which is very convenient. The bar offers drinks at reasonable prices, and while the restaurant is quite basic, the food is affordable and breakfast is good value. Overall, it’s a good spot for a 3-day stay, especially since the hotel is very handy for all the attractions and activities in Windsor. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable and economical place to stay in the area.

First time at this hotel and it started off great John checked us in and he was very pleasant and professional. We did have an issue with the room, so, I went to the front desk and spoke to John. He was very accommodating and went out of his way to get us a better location and to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I am a manager at a Hotel (near Yosemite) and we crave excellent customer service like this. Thank you, John for making our stay great! Actually, you made it excellent!

We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn in Windsor! The king room was perfect for our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids), with a clean space and a pull-out sofa bed that worked well for the little ones. We brought floaties and made good use of the indoor pool—it was such a bonus, especially with the spring weather still being a bit cool. We ordered DoorDash and relaxed by the pool in the evening, then enjoyed the hotel’s buffet breakfast the next morning before heading back to the pool for more downtime. We were in town for a bike race, and the location made it easy for dad to head out early and for us to catch him at the finish line. Would definitely stay again!

This is the worst hotel I have ever seen in my entire life. The whole place looks old and forgotten. My room was dirty, dusty, and the furniture was falling apart like it was begging to be thrown away. The tub had rust you could see from across the room, and the smell of old smoke hit me so hard I almost walked right back out. Even the doors were dirty -- I didn’t want to touch anything. The carpets were grim the lighting was bad. THE BED WAS HORRIBLE AND MADE ME ITCH THE WHOLE NIGHT. Woke up with visible bite marks on my legs Future guests, please listen. Do not stay here. Not even for one night. It is truly that horrible.
