Holiday Inn Poplar Bluff

Called to make a reservation just 20 minutes before arriving while on a road trip. Even though they did not have adjoining rooms, they put us in a double queen with sofa, and upon arrival they had the extra linens ready, and kid vouchers for the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Check In was a breeze, the staff were all very kind and knowledgeable. A very pleasant stay. The room was clean, the bathroom is definitely one of the cleanest we've had at a hotel in a while. The beds were comfortable, and the in room coffee was good.

Positive: at your front desk, is the perfect person to greet and complete check-in for your hotel. You've got a jewel there. Also, Mo in the restaurant--what a hard worker with a smile--a great combo. Negative: ""

We usually stay at IHG hotels when we travel, therefore we chose to stay at this one in Poplar Bluff, MO. We were disappointed with our stay. First, the overall odor in the hotel isn’t very pleasant and there isn’t the detail to cleanliness. The carpet in the elevators are worn and dirty. The free WiFi is a joke as it is slow as molasses. It was hard to sleep due to the cheap mattress and noisy A/C and refrigerator. Lastly, they don’t offer the typical IHG breakfast with the designated space of buffet offerings. They have a restaurant on site where you are offered a free breakfast. But we chose to pass as it was dirty and unorganized in appearance. We wouldn’t stay here again.

This Hotel is my favorite place to stay in this area. The staff is amazing and the most welcoming people I’ve met. I enjoy the location and the convenience of having a great restaurant downstairs.

My room door wouldn't open. I spent quite a bit of time waiting in the hallway for help multiple times. There is no way to charge a phone. Staff kept explaining that they were eventually going to address all the problems.No discount was offered. I won't go back. The staff was very nice but they had no control over any of it.
