If you are not Hispanic, expect to be mistreated and racially profiled. Our stay was defined by harassment that made my family feel unsafe and unwelcome from start to finish. Harassment and Stalking (Housekeeping): A housekeeper (whose name sounded like "Ida") exhibited extremely unprofessional and behavior. She targeted my husband with what we consider harassment and discrimination, following him through hallways and even into the parking lot. I reserved a room a month in advance. I the 4 hour trip it took me to get there I was called 3 times. First to ask if I was coming- which I found odd. 2nd was to tell me they pre-checked me in. The third time I was a mile from the parking lot and was told I don't have a room. They offered me a refund but it was 11:30pm and I had no where else to go. They offered a king room with 1 king bed. My party included myself, my 24 year old daughter and my 25 year old son in law. He had to end up sleeping on the FLOOR! I was promised I would have a proper room the next day. The room they gave me the next day again had 1 bed. I had to wait another hour or 2 to receive the proper room with 2 beds. This caused me to miss 2 of my appointments. I paid for a suite expecting a higher standard of comfort, cleanliness, and safety, but my experience fell far below what any guest should encounter. To be completely transparent, the condition of the hotel was deplorable and absolutely not reflective of the price I paid. The suite I reserved was anything but “sweet,” and the experience from start to finish was unacceptable. Here are the issues I encountered during my stay: The front desk staff was unprofessional and unhelpful at check-in. The room was dirty and poorly maintained. Lighting throughout the suite was dim and inadequate. The bathroom was extremely dirty, including a shower drain that appeared never to have been cleaned, mold-like buildup on the shower doors and base, and other concerning signs of neglect. If it wasn't for the service this would be 1 star. The rooms are in need of repair. Our toilet seat was peeling! Chips and stains everywhere, broken phone, and a smell that we couldn't quite place. The drip from the shower head kept waking me up. The pool, horrible. At only 3 feet you'd think it'd be cleaner, hot tub is warm at best and again chips and stains everywhere. The people working here, great. The housekeeping came with towels quickly as I was surprised by the lack of them when booking for 4 people and only two towels are there.
