Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Woodbridge

Probably my worst stay at a Marriott am I’ve stayed hundreds of nights for work. The “breakfast” if you want to call it that was probably the worse part. They only had a few options and were always out of most of the items so you had to ask for everything. Rooms are dated and sub par. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Overall, my stay was decent, and the hotel itself was clean and comfortable for the most part. However, there were a few issues that impacted my experience. Throughout my stay, I noticed a lingering smell of cigarette smoke in certain areas of the hotel. Late one night when I returned to the hotel, the hallways smelled strongly of marijuana, and the odor was noticeable inside my room as well—mainly near the door rather than in the bedroom. Additionally, I smelled cigarette smoke in my bathroom, which was unexpected. The smell wasn’t very strong at first but became more noticeable toward the end of my stay, possibly due to new guests arriving. My biggest disappointment, however, was the lack of snow removal. Positive: Location Negative: The front desk called very late at night almost 11pm) to confirm checkout date. It was pretty unprofessional but they apologized. Woke me and my child up from sleeping when we had to get up early in the morning.

I would never recommend here. You're making fun of people!!!! The breakfast is absolutely terrible! Plastic plates, spoons, and forks. What kind of breakfast do you serve? Even the worst place in the world wouldn't have such service. If you don’t included breakfast in the room price, maybe you wouldn't fall into this situation of being a simple, incompetent, back-alley hotel. Are you even aware of where you are in the service industry? There's no water in the rooms, and the staff doesn't give it .

We chose this Marriott property believing it would be a good option, but our stay was disappointing. Throughout the night, the air conditioning unit produced very loud and disruptive noise, making it difficult to sleep. The pillows were also extremely firm and uncomfortable. The hotel is located in an industrial area, and additional noise could be heard from outside through the windows. The room itself did not feel thoroughly cleaned. Breakfast was acceptable—limited in variety but adequate. Overall, based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel.
