Holiday Inn Express & Suites Williams by IHG

Would stay here again and will recommend it all Stayed December 27th - January 2nd, 2025. We arrived around 9pm on the 27th and there was about 4 other people in line at the desk to check in, but no one at the desk to do so. Maybe 15 minutes later a lone employee came to the desk to get us all checked in. One traveler complained that his room hadn't been cleaned yet. She apologized and very nicely told him she was there alone, and she would get to it as soon as she could. I don't know if he was already a guest and needed some clean sheets, trash removed or towels so I don't want to judge clean rooms from his statement. Our room was very clean. We stayed in Room 117. This was a last minute book, the location was superb for why we were there, however the room was not great. Being an IHG member we're used to great and not so great stays, this one I would not recommend. There was hair everywhere, the headboards were failing apart, the AC unit was full of dust and we coughed non-stop every time it ran, the floors were gross and over all dingy. We stayed but, the noise coming from the hallway and next room did us in. There were kids screaming and running the halls. We had to call the front desk and ask that they handle it, that didn't fix it. For most of the night the banging and screaming of kids throughout the hotel was awful. My family of 6 booked a room at this hotel for one night. The power had gone out that morning so when we attempted to check in we had to wait an hour for linen as the laundry was behind. Inconvenient but not detrimental. Upon arrival we learned that the pool was shut down for an undetermined amount of time. Sucks but wouldn’t ruin our trip. We finally got into our room and quickly realized that the room marketed to fit 6 people should be marketed for 4 and a child at best. The headboards are peeling, which makes it look quite dirty and there was not one working vending machine in the hotel, so now where to purchase a drink. DO NOT stay at Holiday Inn Williams. This place has gone completely downhill. We stay here every year for our winter trip, but this year was disgusting and disappointing. My sister-in-law’s room had food left in the fridge, clearly not cleaned. My bathroom had hair and mold in the shower—completely unacceptable. The next day there was no power, and despite advertising free breakfast, no food was provided for guests. Management showed zero empathy or accountability, both day and night shift. Being “short-staffed” is not an excuse to accept guests when rooms aren’t clean and basic amenities aren’t available. We will never stay here again, and honestly, I’m done with Holiday Inn altogether.

Positive: Location and wanted pool and hot tub Negative: We weren't told until arrival and noon refundable rate that pool and hot tub were not available. Very disappointing and should require notice and discount.
