Holiday Inn Express & Suites Paragould, an IHG Hotel

I stayed here passing through on my way out west on my motorcycle. After a long and very hot day on the bike, I got checked into my room by very courteous front desk staff and was very pleased with my room, the hotel and the location. The breakfast was very good, hot and well managed. In a lot of the HIE hotels it can be a roll of the dice in terms of the breakfast. Not here. It was what one should expect for a breakfast offering. I stay in a lot of hotels and if you look hard enough or sometimes you don’t have to look hard to find issues but I can honestly say this stay was exceptional. I rarely say this but this was well earned and wish all of the chain hotels were as nice as this one.

This property is conveniently located, far enough from the in-town traffic but near all that is needed. Very friendly staff, quick check-in. Room was clean and relatively modern, nothing to complain about at all. WiFi and TV were great, work station area was roomy. Bathroom was clean and well-appointed, shower was clean. Could have used a little more water pressure - not bad, but could have been better. Bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast had limited choices, but was good quality. Easy checkout. Overall, I would highly recommend this property, and I would definitely stay here again whenever I am in the area.

Beautiful hotel. Remodeled and clean. Check in and check out was easy and friendly. We stayed with our 50 lb dog for an extra $50. Room was clean and spacious. Beds were just right for us….in between firm and soft. Blackout curtains worked great. Breakfast looked like it had lots of options. I just had some Greek yogurt. Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful time on my first visit to Paragould while staying here! The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The bed was so comfortable that I fell into a sleep that was SO DEEP. I was hesitant about the shower, but it was actually great- perfect pressure and warmth. My entire stay here was a pleasurable experience, and I can’t wait to come here again repeatedly!

We did a three night stay here, and we noticed a smell in the room. Thinking it was maybe the carpet so we didn't complain right away. By the morning of the third day the smell was really bad. We said something to the night desk clerk before he got off work, and by working on older houses in the past if was definitely the smell of a rat in the wall of the bathroom. We don't know if anyone was sent to the room to check after we went out for the day but when we returned no one said anything about it. That last night we had to keep the bathroom door shut in order to sleep. On check out Saturday morning we mentioned it to the daytime desk clerk, but all she said was they just remodeled the whole hotel and it was probably the pipes. No it was a RAT.
