Was looking for accommodation closer to Universal and Disney, found this hotel in google, and it was good enough for the trip. They do have complementary hot breakfast which is good and have lots of options, but often times I have observed that some of the food items were not cooked properly. They even keep filling the items even after their designated breakfast times which can be very convenient. They do say that they have a shuttle to Universal studios but it’s not their own, but looks like a public/universal bus, also it may reach 15-20 mins late. They have 2 elevators but they are very old and slow, I also felt jerks once in a while which can be bit scary. The rooms looked bit old but are clean and nice. For a 2 queen bed room they gave a small chaise longue, and a sitting desk, in
We stayed here one night for our trip to Disney. When we drive down late in the day, we typically don’t want to pay Disney prices to just sleep, so we grab something cheap and easy, check in late, check out early. This was our selection January 2026 and it was fine. The good- relatively clean and updated. The property has a fairly modern look inside and there wasn’t much visible wear. There were a few odd places where the maintenance team fixed something but then didn’t do things like put tiles back or repaint, which is a misstep. The not so great- while the location is SUPER convenient to Universal (you’re basically across the road from Endless Summer), it’s very weird. You would THINK you turn at the light. Wrong. You turn between AFRO TV and basically a strip mall type store. You pass
If I could give this negative stars I would. I booked the 2 rooms on 11/22/25 for the wrong dates thru expedia. I called and expedia rep called the hotel and spoke with Arianna Patterson who agreed to change the dates for the weekend before. Expedia then sent me the HOTELS confirmation numbers for both rooms with the correct date. On 1/4/2026, I called directly to the hotel to confirm everything was in order and they confirmed. On 1/8/2026, I started getting text messages from Holiday inn welcoming me and asking when we plan to arrive on the 9th and if we would need any other accommodations. I replied to let them know we would be there later in the evening as we were driving up (3 hours) and were first going to go shopping and dinner. We arrived at the hotel around 9:30pm. Greg, fron
The staff were friendly just not completely informed. The person who took my reservation told me this was a nice hotel. It was not. It was a decent hotel, good enough to rest up but not a place i want to stay at while on vacation. I asked about early checkout and was told there were no fees only to find out that there were fees but they would be waved due to my IHG membership. The lobby looked dated and needed some attention. The base boards were marked up from heavy traffic and the entryway seemed cpld and plain. The elevator shook and rattled like it was on the back of an old pick up. Buttons had to be pressed more than once at times for them to work and names and initials were etched into the stainless steal panels. The room was clean but also dated. The light switches and sockets had s
We stayed in a suite with a second double queen room for our older teens. Our family usually prefers staying at Holiday Inn express hotels because we feel they have been at a pretty consistent comfort and cleanliness standard, with a decent breakfast, everywhere we have traveled. However, after this stay, I've found that my confidence in that consistency is wavering. This hotel is in DESPERATE need of a remodel. Or at the very least, a deep clean. The lobby floors were dirty and sticky and so were the elevators and the area in front of the elevators. The paint needs a serious refresh as I could see patch lines on the ceiling in my room. Water poured out of the shower stall in the suite we had rented and the shower looked nasty. Under the sink looked like it hadn't been swept or mopped in
