Holiday Inn Express & Suites Millington-Memphis Area by IHG

I was not a guest at this hotel lastnight however, I did need to use one of their restrooms while I was in the area. There were two bathrooms in the front lobby which is pretty standard for most hotels. But at this location the ladies room was out of order that night. I ended up having to use the men's room but unfortunately the toilet was clogged from previous use. This resulted in my needing to have to ask the lady at the front counter for assistance. The lady did clear toilet and leave me to use the restroom. However, this woman did not let me use the bathroom in peace. She did check on me initially after some time had passed which i thought was polite. However, she came to my door again a few moments later to state that i had been in the bathroom "over an hour." Excuse me? Ok, first of

I've stayed at this hotel in the past and felt the room and bathroom was in much better shape then. The towels were clean but unraveling, the door had weathering at the bottom, the bed wasn't very comfortable but okay for a couple of nights. The breakfast was good, but the morning that bacon was offered, it was empty for the 45 minutes I was there. Cinnamon rolls were great as usual, but pancake maker was out of service for our entire stay.

The hotel was in a great location, right off the main road and close to a variety of restaurant choices. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little dated. The beds were clean and the pillows were fluffy and inviting to sleep one. We stayed on the top floor and even though there was a baseball team staying in the hotel, it was quiet enough and the breakfast crew kept up with the demand of all those young men and the rest of us staying at the hotel. The only issues we had was the refrigerator made a loud noise. We were able to turn it off so we could sleep. The shower spray was a little crazy but the water was hot and there was good pressue. All and all, I would stay again.

Room was clean . Lobby was clean with coffee station. Breakfast was good . Staff was friendly and parking was decent. I just didn’t understand the random text messages I was getting to rate their stay and text to have billed emailed… when I replied to the text I realized wait am I talking to Hotel? I would recommend hotel to family and friends.

The property manager is very rude and does not foster any concept of hospitality whatsoever. I do not recommend staying here. Your time and money will be better spend going somewhere else.
