Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lancaster by IHG

I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Lancaster while I was in town for a late-night ghost hunt at the Fairfield County Infirmary. After finishing the investigation around 3:00 AM, it was such a relief to return to a clean, comfortable room. The staff was kind enough to grant me a late checkout the next morning, which I really appreciated before heading to the airport. The location was perfect—very close to the Infirmary and just a short drive to the airport. After a cold night of ghost hunting, I may have turned my room into a full sauna trying to warm up, but the cozy room made it easy to relax and recharge. We enjoyed our stay the room was very clean. Housekeeping was very prompt when ordered to bring more towels or pillows. Breakfast was very good. Treat treated well by everyone.

SCAM ALERT!!! Beware this Holiday Inn.||My son, my sister and I spent one night in a suite with two queen beds and a hide-a-bed couch. We were treated very well until about 6 hours after check out, when I received an additional $150 charge for hazmat clean-up of supposed feces in the shower drain. My son was the only one to take a shower (he’s 54 and DID NOT poo in the shower). We objected to this charge but it came down to the maid said she found fecal matter in the drain. It was sanitized before we were notified & of course, we can’t prove we DIDNT do it, so the charge remains. I had forgotten to leave a tip for the maid, and I suspect this was retaliation for no tip. It’s a “she said/he said” situation with no options. ||This could happen to anyone with no recourse. Rent a room here a

The web listing had photos/ video of an indoor pool that doesn't exist. No bedding was available for the pull out sofa in the room and, when requested, the front desk implied that we were lucky to get the single blanket and pillow because "they were full." It is unsanitary and unacceptable to expect guests who book a suite to sleep on a bare mattress without sheets. Likewise, we didn't have a sufficient number of towels. The on-floor laundry facility was out of service. The breakfast staff behaved as though they were severely inconvenienced to have guests in the space. I would not recommend this location.

We were, unexpectedly and unupsettingly, placed in a dog friendly room on the first floor at the end of the hallway. This was very good, as our infant kept screaming until the wee hours of the morning, and that affected the least amount of people. The bathroom was wonderful and well stocked. The staff was excellent. Breakfast was amazing, to the point of I'd go there for breakfast if I could. The biscuits and gravy and cinnamon rolls are fantastic. The pool being closed was inconvenient, but not too much, since we didnt have time to utilize it anyways. My biggest detractors was that, on check in, the floor was sticky. We wrote this off as being the temperature and humidity of the room, but the next morning, it was still sticky, and our clean feet were black. I brought this to management'
