Holiday Inn Express & Suites la Place by IHG

I had a great experience this past weekend staying at this location. It has a very good location in proximity to the highway and close to the town’s eateries. It is just a 20 or 30 minute drive from the city of New Orleans. The young man that was working the front desk, James, was very sweet, professional and accommodating. He’s the young black man with locs. You guys should be very proud of him as he is representing the hospitality of the company well. The room was clean and quiet. My only complaint is the elevator, the door closes super slowly, but we kind of got used to it. Lol. We did not eat breakfast there as I usually bring my own breakfast so I cannot comment on that. I would not be opposed to staying at this location in the future.

Only huge issue I had was that the fire alarm went off at 7am but it was a blessing in disguise. I found other swifties outside that confirmed the alarm was a false alarm and I was able to trade bracelets with them in the middle of the hallway. The staff was so kind and welcoming especially the night auditor. I gave him a friendship bracelet to commemorate the magical weekend I had in town for the eras tour. I also appreciated the convenience of this hotels location. Originally I was afraid it’d be too far from the stadium - but it being right outside of New Orleans was calming given the jam packed weekend and high traffic within the city. It was quiet and I fully took advantage of the restaurants nearby. Overall I enjoyed my stay - the housekeeping staff really shined. I knew it was a bus

This Holiday Inn stay was near perfect! We had reserved a King Suite on the top floor, which was spacious, comfy and generally clean. The one oddity was that the living room lacked a TV. The highlight was the truly outstanding water pressure in the shower - it might have been the best I've experienced in the entire US. The breakfast was also delicious and well-stocked, making for an overall excellent experience.

Just spoke with Joseph regarding a billing error. He was very professional and was able to resolve the issue within a reasonable amount of time. Even if the issue did not end well for me, the review would have remained the same. Joseph presented himself as a professional and was extremely courteous.

Front desk manager LaTonya Nobel has an extremely nasty attitude, extremely unprofessional for a manager. complained to Guest Services about the bathroom, and microwave being dirty, pubic hair on the bed linen. Latonya advised me I didn’t follow protocol and said look girl, I disconnect the call. Later Joshua from the front desk came to my door asking that I leave immediately, said sure I needed to pack. Wanting to know why I’m being asked to leave, Joshua never responded. When you complain about the condition of the room your met with retaliation. I absolutely do not recommend this budget friendly hotel and am considering filing other complaints based upon how I was treated by LaTonya.
