Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites LaPlace

One of the best hotels I stay at in a long time. The staff was extremely nice. Want to give recognition to Brie and Cameron. They was very friendly, knowledgeable, and overall great individuals. Really enjoy interacting with them. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was great. Very quiet and peaceful. Will recommend to anybody.

My family stayed here for 6 days while visiting New Orleans and there were some good aspects of our stay and some not so good. Some areas of the hotel, like hallways and dining area were pretty clean and decently well kept. The breakfast was surprisingly good for hotel food, and they did a good job of mixing things up so you don’t have to eat the same thing every day. Also some healthy options like turkey sausage, quiche and lots of nuts and other healthy oatmeal toppings. Pretty decent coffee too, with really milk as an option instead of chemical-laden creamer only. The beds were also very comfortable, some of the better that I have experienced. Terrible Experience – Ants in the Bed and Rude Front Desk Clerk I recently checked into this hotel and was extremely disappointed with my experience. Upon entering my room, I discovered ants in the bed. I immediately went to the front desk to report the issue, and the clerk informed me that there were no other rooms available. She offered to change the sheets and spray for ants, but I did not feel comfortable staying in a room that was already infested or would soon be filled with bug spray fumes. I politely asked if she could switch my room with another that had not yet been checked into. She stated the only available room was a handicap-accessible room and refused to offer it, saying she would not give that room to someone who didn’t need it. While we were still talking, another guest
