Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gulf Shores by IHG

We have always stayed at Holiday Inn properties but this stay by far was the worst for several reasons. 1. We found blood splattered on the bathroom floor. I went to the front desk to ask that housekeeping please disinfect/mop the bathroom floor. The front desk lady said that they would. They came in while we were gone. Cleaned and straightened up the bathroom but did not mop or sweep the floor. Same blood splatters were still there! They do not fill up or replace the soap and shampoo bottles as we had to go buy soap. 2. Laundry Room. They did not have detergent for sale. They did not have quarters on hand to make change. Again, had to go to the store to get what we needed. If your property offers the convenience of a laundry room, please offer the convenience of items needed to do

Good location in proximity to beaches. Solid service and good breakfast. Gross shower, we skipped showering instead of going in there. Positively, the bed was comfortable and clean along with the rest of the room. The shower was kind of a real downer though, we would’ve asked for a different room if there for more than 1 night.

It's in a good location and the staff were wonderful and extremely helpful. The check-in went very smoothly. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable but the shower was awful! That was such an awful buildup of lime or scale but the shower barely worked 😕

Very comfortable bedding-nice backlighting in the room, plenty of surface for your items. Good breakfast including warm cinnamon buns. Coffee machine ground fresh beans and brewed good strong coffee! The attendant was on top of keeping everything clean and stocked. Lobby had fall decorations. ||Walkable to Publix and several shops or restaurants. You could even walk it to the beach-a little more than a mile but level. A wagon would be nice if you’re bringing chairs etc. But you can rent a chair and umbrella for $40/day. ||We did not use the pool but saw that there was a lift for accessibility if needed. Cost was lower than similar hotels in the area, and we enjoyed our stay.

Check in was easy. Staff was friendly. Beds was really comfortable and there was not much outside noise, even in a business area of town. Definitely needs some TLC. Carpets in hallway were stained and so was the shower. Every night we were there I had to go down and have my key card fixed…twice. The person at the front desk was friendly and fixed it quickly. Just kind of pain when you are looking forward to crashing after a long beach day. Easy access to Fort Morgan where we had friends staying. Grocery store and restaurants close by too.
