Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ft Lauderdale N - Exec Airport by IHG

This was an average airport hotel. We stayed here pre-cruise. There is a shuttle that you can book to the cruise port that will pick you up at the hotel but it is not free. I believe it was $15/person. We booked transport thru the cruise line and took the shuttle back to the airport in the morning to pick that up. There is no on site restaurant but there are some snack items for sale. The airport shuttle was a nightmare. First of all it is a zoo at the area where you wait for the shuttle. Total chaos! We called the front desk to ask how to get the shuttle and were directed to the waiting area. When I asked how long, I was told it could be an hour! The hotel was only 2.2 miles away. We waited and waited. Several holiday in express buses came by that were not for “our”|Holiday inn There are

Positive: We always stay here every 3 months for work. Negative: The AC did not cool this trip. We could have moved to a new room but decided to stay. The pillows were kind of flat this trip.

This Holiday Inn Express was outstanding. The room was spotless, modern, and incredibly well designed. The bed was genuinely comfortable, and I loved the abundance of outlets and charging options - perfect for travel tech and a CPAP. The staff was friendly, professional, and welcoming, and the breakfast was fresh, hot, and much better than the typical complimentary breakfasts I've come to expect elsewhere. I've spent many years loyal to a certain very large hotel brand (whose name may or may not rhyme with Chariot). I almost never book outside of that ecosystem. This stay has changed that. Holiday Inn Express has officially earned my future business, especially if this location is any indication of the brand standard

I have been staying here for the past two weeks due to traveling for a project. I have another two weeks to go, but I can tell you the staff are amazing. Their service is amazing and they are all around good people. The location is perfect because it doesn’t have people just wandering around, but they also have added security patrolling the parking lot during the late evening through the night. I would highly recommend this location and at the conclusion of my project if I ever have to come back, I will definitely stay here.

The breakfast was head and shoulders better than any other hotel breakfast bar! Excellent food including fresh ground coffee, hot cinnamon rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits… all made right on site Staff very friendly! I’ve eaten at a lot of these breakfasts. This is the best by far!
