Holiday Inn Express & Suites El Dorado, KS by IHG

With family in ElDorado, KS I am a frequent visitor to this Holiday Inn. Once again, the staff was friendly, room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was hot and filling. Issues with bathroom cleanliness during the last visit were mostly remedied. Since the pool has been unusable for the past year, I called ahead and verified that it was once again in operation before booking (my grandchildren would be with us this time). The pool was open, however, it was absolutely freezing...far too cold for children. When checking out, the front desk personnel stated, "Oh yes, they are having trouble with the pool heater." This of course would have been nice to know when booking...I would have probably booked elsewhere; perhaps the Best Western next door. I'll be more diligent if I choose to co

We were in the area for business. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. All the staff was friendly and took great care in their jobs. When we checked in we discovered that the TV had a problem with the cable system. Gilbert the desk clerk checked several rooms for their TV reception. When we returned from dinner, he had found a room on the same floor that was good. We got moved and settled in. He continued to inquire how our stay was throughout the week. Rachel the manager was on top of things and was running an efficient facility. When I went to check out there was a terrible wind storm. The staff reassured me that if I need help loading to please don't hesitate to ask. I am one who usually does things on my own but when I took my cart our to load I realized I couldn't to it on my own

Service was always kind and helpful, no major issues with my stay. The other reviews about hotel rooms being dated are true- the room I stayed in was well used but still functional. The bathroom counter did not appear to of been cleaned as the previous person's beard trimmings were still present. This is not a major issue as it was easy to clean, and the toilet and shower were clean. Location and cost were decent and if you need a place to stay in a pinch this location would work out.

I had the utmost pleasure during my stay. This place was great—an excellent smorgasbord breakfast, a great room, and a very comfortable bed. Everything was five stars.

Had many issues with things not working in the room. We were told they were not fixing things because the wing was being shut down, gutted and re-done. Hopefully it will be better for future guests. The employees were as helpful as they could be given the situation.
