Holiday Inn Express & Suites Athens by IHG

We booked ahead and it was nice to be already checked in when we walked through the lobby door. Room was clean and smelled fresh. Bathroom clean and so nice to find plenty of towels and face cloths. Bed was super comfortable with nice pillows. Lots of interstate noise all night long. We love a Holiday Inn Express breakfast but this was not the case here. Unfortunately they were only using the self service coffee machines and not the dispensers (although we could see them in the kitchen). There was quite a line waiting for coffee because the machine - although it makes a great cup of coffee- takes quite a while to grind the beans then make the coffee. There was one employee filling the food - 1 item at a time. Then both coffee machines needed to have the grounds dumped. Needless to say we l

Wasn't to thrilled with this hotel. Curtains didn't close all the way and the lights in the bathroom sucked and cable sucked . Shower or water pressure was good. Kids running thru the halls above us and jumping. People slamming doors made it hard to sleep.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great place to stay in Athens if you’re looking for a clean, modern, and comfortable hotel in a convenient location. The hotel feels new and well maintained, and the rooms are quiet and comfortable—I slept well here for weeks, which says a lot. The free breakfast is excellent, with plenty of options to start the day. The location is a big plus, right next to several great stores and restaurants, making everything easy and accessible. Overall, it’s a modern, clean hotel that delivers comfort, value, and convenience. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Positive: The room and pool were both large and clean. Negative: I would not recommend staying here if you have young children. We were put on the 2nd floor and then approached by someone from the front desk because our 2 and 3 year old boys were walking and running on the floor in our room "too loudly"

Check in easy, great location, hot tub was actually hot and working well (wonderful after a long drive). Jayla kept all of the breakfast fresh and hot! She is a gem.
