Holiday Inn Express & Suites Abilene Mall South, an IHG Hotel

This hotel is horrible. Room 119 had a broken air conditioner, television non functional, window curtains were ripped from tracks, mold in bathroom, my shoes stuck to the floor in the entry way, bathroom towels were stained, walls were damaged. Front Desk clerk lied and said they were sold out. At 10p when it was still 75 degrees in room they moved me to a “better” it had a non-functioning toilet. Wouldn’t flush grateful it didn’t overflow. Presented pictures and manager walked through both rooms. They refuse to refund money. I was traveling alone in an area I did not know. Arrived at sunset was forced to endure it. Also on a migratory bird route. Screeching birds on utility lines located steps from rooms. It is NOT a great value $155 dollars. Had to pick one of the descriptions to post r

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The check-in staff were friendly and welcoming, although I noticed the forgot to mention some perks associated with my preferred membership. The rom was clean and tidy, thought it could benefit from a minor update to enhance the overall experience. I didn't take advantage of the free breakfast, but it appeared to be quite nice. I would stay here again.

The service throughout the hotel was exceptional. Every staff member I encountered—from housekeeping to concierge—was genuinely friendly, attentive, and eager to help. They remembered my name, anticipated my needs, and made me feel like a valued guest at every turn.

Room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Even though it was in a busy area, you could not hear any outside noise. My only complaint would be the breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were great, but they only had pre-made vegetable egg white omelets for the egg choice and the sausage links needed a little more cook time.

Please read this is important. This establishment should be ashamed of themselves like at the lowest level possible. I booked this hotel early in the morning and drove eight hours from Houston to get here in Abilene. There’s a price gouging and all the hotels they all are like $350-$500 per night because of a plant that’s being built Priceline offered me the holiday in South Mall Abilene For $159 which I booked when I got to the hotel there was a poor guy ahead of me that also booked at Priceline like I did and they told him they did not have his reservation but luckily they have a room that they will give him at a discounted price of $300 which is double the price which the poor guy paid so when it was my turn long story short, they did the same thing to me.
