Holiday Inn Express Osage Beach - Lake of the Ozarks by IHG

I'm a business traveler who spends 60+ nights a year in hotels. This was the WORST place I stayed in 2022...by a lot! Called to discuss room assignments in the morning before arriving and the woman on the phone told me to call back after check-in time. There's some lousy customer service right there! My room, when I finally got there, stank almost to the point of being uninhabitable. I have no idea what a previous resident did in there but the smell of wintergreen is a bit overwhelming. It reminded me of a few times in the Army when I was around some horribly out-of-shape folks after a PT test. Eye-watering amounts of Ben Gay were applied and the stench in that room brought me right back. ! I asked the front desk to do something to address the issue since they were full and couldn't simp

Positive: Staff was nice Negative: Not up to Holiday Inn standards. Appears to have been a cheaper hotel at some point that they tried to fix up. Bed was horrible!

I'm giving a poor rating because of the price of the room for one night and no hot water. ||I was traveling through the area, it was getting late so I stopped at this Holiday Inn. I was shocked at the high price for a room. I could possibly understand the price of the room it it was during the "High Season" but it was in March and the parking lot looked mostly empty. I did stay because I don't want to go any further down the road.||I showered twice while there. They were at best lukewarm. ||The woman that checked me in was very pleasant and checked me in professionally.||The rooms were clean with nice bedding.

A clean and nice Holiday inn Express. ***What really made this place special were the employees! I dealt with three people as follows: November 14, evening (9:00-ish) of 2025 and November 15 check out @ last minute. They were ALL so wonderful. I haven't seen that kind of customer service since, I don't know when! But "Matt" with maintenance! He was so gracious when we were leaving. I haven't experienced such wonderful customer service since a mom and pop . It took me back to a different day of customer service. So if customer service is important to you; that really made me leave this review. I hope this was helpful.

My room was on the 2nd floor and the hall was lined with sheets of dry wall, white dust on the carpet and tools. Worst night ever. I was not able to sleep due to the overwhelming dust in the air and the room. When I checked out the next morning, I told the clerk about the construction, dust,...etc. and I suggested that they not allow anyone else to stay in that room. She stated that it was the owner who has allowed this. The breakfast was awful as well. The staff were really nice.
