Holiday Inn Club Vacations South Beach Resort, an IHG Hotel

We are Vacation Club members and IHG Diamond Members, and have been for a very long time, so we have very high expectations at any property that we stay in. This was our first time to stay at this property and overall the suite was very well appointed, the staff was friendly, and overall we had a great experience as the property is located centrally to great restaurants and shopping and there is a shuttle that can take you multiple places - including the beach. The only complaint that I have is that there were some issues with our original reservation that no one could explain which culminated in us having to stay in a different property than we originally booked. So, inadvertently we got to experience a different property. We made the best of it and still had a great time.

Great stay at Holiday Inn Resort Myrtle Beach South. The two-bedroom suite was fantastic — spacious, comfortable, and exactly what I needed. Beach access is a short walk and the location was perfect for my trip (I was in town for a red carpet film premiere at the Grande 14). Also appreciated having a short golf course next door. Two minor notes: my IHG status wasn’t recognized correctly at check-in (Diamond Elite listed as Platinum), and the room could use more charging ports/USB-C options. I didn’t use the on-site food, so I can’t comment on dining. Overall, excellent property and I’d gladly stay again.

Priced less than single night hotel stays. It's well off the beaten-path, but convenient to the airport. Very clean, well appointed (no Keurig, though) The primary bedroom was large, jetted tub, double sinks, lovely stand up shower with toiletries included. The screeed in porch created a great draft in the rooms and a nice place to enjoy the afternoon. The courtyard's fountain made enjoyable background noise.

We visited this property for a new years getaway. We weren’t looking for fancy, just sufficient. However, what we got was dirty, poorly managed, and rude. My biggest complaint was the lack of cleanliness. The comforter on our bed had a yellow stain like it had been urinated on, the bathroom rug was covered in stains and hair as if it had simply been folded up rather than washed by housekeeping, the pullout sofa that we needed to use was covered in debris, the furniture was soiled, the curtains are stained, the bathrooms were inadequately cleaned. There aren’t many hotels where I felt compelled to wear socks- this one I did.||In terms of functionality, the beds are squeaky and rickety and the entire unit lost hot water for an inexplicable period.
