Holiday Inn Blytheville by IHG

If there was negative rating that’s what I would give. Don’t get confused with 4.3 rating. The place is old. The carpets smells. They offer breakfast with the attached restaurant, where the service is horrible. After waiting for more than 30 minutes they ask for your voucher before taking your order. No service. It’s worse than self service. At least with self service you can get your food and be done with it. Sucks! Just ruined my entire day plan.

The facility as a whole is updated and well-maintained, with ample parking and entrances convenient to the rooms. It is convenient to the interstate exit but at the perfect distance to minimize highway noise. The front desk associates were courteous, welcoming, helpful, and professional both at check-in and check-out. I got the "to-go" breakfast from the attached Perkins restaurant and it was perfect for hitting the road. (The restaurant is excellent for full meals, as well.) |I was traveling with a dog, and I appreciated being able to select a designated pet-friendly room from the website scheduling menu (I confirmed by phone as well). I stayed three nights. Breakfast is the attached Perkins Pancake House which normally isn’t that bad. The food voucher from the hotel though gives you two eggs, a list of sausages, ham and a potato variety. I eat carefully which is not the Arkansas way, so there was nothing in column two or three of any interest and the over-easy eggs were only a notch thicker than water. I never went back for my remaining breakfasts. We booked 2 queen beds and were given 2 sets of towels. At 11 after the 1st night, I realized I might not get any housekeeping and asked for towels from a housekeeper I found who said she’d tell the appropriate person. Do not stay at this hotel. Free breakfast consists of a breakfast voucher to the attached Perkins restaurant, which is terrible. Long waits, below average food, unmanaged and understaffed service. The hotel is better but not by much. Not good service, toilet was clogged in the room. They put us in the far back of the hotel, the farthest row from the front, in a seemingly not busy hotel. Outlets don’t work and the AC unit in the room was loud. Also, we stayed twice in the same week in two different rooms. Just not a good experience. Just go to the next town. It’s likely to be better.

Very nice place. A Perkins Restaurant (think Waffle House meets Cracker Barrel) is attached and very convenient. Our 2 queen room was updated and clean. Shower pressure was nice. Overall a great Holiday Inn.
