Hoffman Lake Campground, INC.

We had a group of 3 rvs and 1 tent. When reservations were first made 1 site was not connected to the other 2 but when we got there they had rearranged so we could all be together. The extra effort was greatly appreciated. Don't let the"rules" and fines scare you off. We were worried that the owners were going to be heavy handed but were quite pleasant with all interactions. Even suggested if we come back how we could set up on an alternate way so all 3 campers form a horseshoe with coming area in the middle. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Adjustable water temperature in the showers would be nice instead of the push button style. Also if you think there is any chance that someone may come to visit and end up staying the night then count them in your original reservation. Our daught

This campground was loved by all of us. We are a family of five, with having a teenager, a 5yr old, and 6yr old and a dog. It was quiet at nights and peaceful mornings. It was so great we extended our stay and canceled the next place we were going to. The kids enjoyed the playground, the pool is small but if you go at the right time there'll be few of you. The two beaches they have seemed small at first sight but a great size for the few who show up. It was a bit challenging with the dog since they are required to be on leash the entire time but there's no dog parks to let the dogs run around so we had to get creative. The splashpad has a lot of what looks like rust but with proper cleaning I think it'll be even better. We love to fish so we wished there was more shore/dock fishing areas.

If an establishment is going to jam their 'terms and conditions' down your throat by making you sign that you received them via email and presenting them once again when you check in, then they should probably think about enforcing them. Some of the rules not being followed are no motorized wheels such as mopeds, ATVs, GOLF CARTS etc., no rugs or mats, and quite times (see photo). There were golf carts running non-stop and kids riding motorized scooters with two standing on one scooter. Also, the store is rarely open during the week so don't expect anyone to be there when you arrive. Another rule indicating there are fees for guests visiting, but don't worry about it because the store is RARELY ever open. Just let your guests through when they get there. We booked a site but didn't stay because the site was too small for our RV and truck (the truck may be as big as the RV but we don't count it for the site size.) We have to say we did have a very pleasant experience with the young lady who assisted us. She was extremely nice and helpful. She even tried to offer us another site but we had already decided to move on. We thank you so much for trying to help us out and want to let you know we gave the campground a four-star because of you! Excellent customer service!

$5 entry fee for visitors ages 4-65, BUT the processing fee for a credit card is $12! I paid $32 for 2 adults and 2 children ages 9 and 7. We spent 4 hours there. Definitely some fine print that needed to be read somewhere.
