Historic Palace Hotel

My 2 night stay was a mix. This is an un-renovated historic hotel. On the plus side, the king sized bed was very comfortable, inside the hotel was quiet and breakfast was fine, although a bit late starting at 8 am. On the minus end, the bath tub bottom was peeling (but a nice hot shower) and the street noise was abundant. Street parking only and the wifi had trouble streaming. I didn't find the historic downtown an appealing or aesthetic looking neighborhood but several restaurants were within a couple blocks. If you stay, ask for a room off the main street or bring ear plugs. I wouldn't stay again.

Near old 1882|Hotel in silver City. Downtown by the little toad Creek brewery and distillery and several galleries. Great old atmosphere. No elevator but decent stairs. A continental breakfast upstairs in the sitting area very pleasant.

I love this place. This time I stayed in one of the superior rooms. It was the biggest, most oddly layed out hotel rooms I ever stayed in. I loved it! Thanks especially to Gary ( Gregg?) and Sabrina who made our reservation and checkin experience great. And sorry, I forget the name of the young women who checked us out. Also a fine experience. Don't go in expecting a big city five star hotel. Go in expecting a small city historic hotel, and you will be delighted. My go-to place in Silver City.

This is an historic hotel, so if you are looking for modern amenities, this is not the place for you! But if you are looking to step back in time, be sure to check in here! The hotel is being lovingly restored, the bed was comfy, the breakfast in the morning was delightful. The atmosphere is warm, inviting and safe. The best part of this hotel however is the staff! They went above and beyond as the absolute most gracious hosts! Sandra Dee's human was absolutely delightful. So helpful, friendly, and attentive. She made us feel at home and made the whole stay perfect! We will be returning soon!
