Hilton Vacation Club Varsity Club Tucson

I made reservations several months in advance as a Hilton Honors Lifetime Diamond member. I added my request for upgrade if available. Was told if available upon arrival. I also asked not to be on the roadside. Response was “ no worries “. Also my profile says high floor away from elevator. Ended up on first floor by elevator and worse yet it was 10 yards from the busiest intersection. The road noise is incredibly loud day and night. They had a sound machine playing full volume but still horrible. They said they would put me on upgrade list. Never happened even though rooms were available on website. They messaged me seeing how my stay was a few times. I told them it was sleepless and loud. No response. The one that did respond said we had use of the sound machine and they left a snack b

This is a great property with a great staff. I have nothing to complain about them. My issue is the extremely noisy streets if your room faces the street. The windows have no insulation and just about every car that drives by has their exhaust pipes open. It is extremely noisy day and night. I sleep wearing earbuds and that was not enough to muffle the sound. If possible, please make sure to ask for a room facing the swimming pool instead. You will thank me later.

Positive: Spacious room, kitchen option, separate living room, good bathroom set up Negative: Bed mattress older and over soft, too bouncy, disturbing other sleeping in bed when move, pillows aplenty, but did old feeling.

The beginning started with Paw the security guard. He is the most welcoming 40 pound basset hound I’ve ever encountered. Then, Dan the general manager greeted us with open arms. Patrick, also an employee, is so delightful and fun. The atmosphere is great, Arizona Wildcats galore. Between the pool tables, the shuffleboard tables, and beautiful poolside, what more could you ask for? 10/10

The location is on a busy intersection, so room noise can be an issue. The facility is clean and well laid out. The pool and hot tub are both rather small. Overall a decent place to stay.
