Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort

Please check other hotels before settling for this one! This is not even a 4 star hotel. The rooms had a motel look and feel. The bathrooms are super tight , only 1 person can fit in the bathroom at a time. Seriously only about 2 inch space between the door and toilet if the door is open. Our first night was absolutely horrible. The room we were assigned had a troubled air conditioning unit. It was loud, screeching and thumping the entire night. Kept scaring us awake when it turned off, it sounded like someone was hamming or kicking on the door or walls. We reached out to front desk very early in the morning hours as we could not take it anymore. They moved us 3 doors over to a more quieter space. The Hotel is very dated. The room I had was decent. Nothing to write home about. The view from my room excellent. However, if you stay here, just know breakfast isn't free. Its around $20 and includes an omelette station. Both times I went, the buffet was a little disappointing. Eggs are powedered, standard breakfast meats, etc. Some of the food had been sitting for a while and had that dry look and texture to it. I added parking thru the app. Upon checkout, I saw I was charged twice for parking. I had to have that corrected. Once I check out and leave the property, my card was charged again for parking, and for bottled water in the room that I didn't drink. Im an Hilton Honors member. I would never pay for water. Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort I booked and paid a premium specifically for a beachfront room, and the view did not disappoint. The staff throughout the stay were kind, professional, and consistent with Hilton service expectations. The lobby was also beautiful and well-presented, creating a strong first impression. Unfortunately, once beyond the lobby, the condition of the property deteriorated noticeably. The overall upkeep and cleanliness did not align with Hilton brand standards. Common areas and the room itself appeared poorly maintained. The furniture was in visibly worn condition, and the mattress was exceptionally worn out and uncomfortable, well below what I would reasonably expect from a Hilton property. I haven't been to Myrtle Beach in years and thought I'd give the Hilton a shot. It was a pleasant stay. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. The rooms are a little on the small size but manageable(especially the bathrooms) .The building is stunning. I love the layout. The view was nice. My only critique. All the hidden and extra fees are ridiculous. And for that simple fact alone, Ill do more research next time I'm in town on where I stay. It's sad to see how hospitality has turned to greed! Great hotel, I would definitely recommend it, if you dont mind throwing your money. away.

Positive: This was great location as it was convenient to our conference and away from all the other hotels of Myrtle Beach and N. Myrtle Beach Negative: The room was extremely dirty with inches of dust caked on EVERYTHING. I had to take the air filter out due to the mass amount of dust in order for the room to cool and then it ALWAYS felt DAMP in the room. Hilton would be disappointed with this quality.
