Hilton Garden Inn Roanoke

Really nice hotel. Relatively clean and the bed was so comfy. I always love a good mountain view. The chef on Friday night, Jeff, cooked a completely rubberized chicken breast. It literally felt like they microwaved it frozen. The server was so embarrassed she comped our dinner and breakfast the next morning. She was lovely herself though. For breakfast, the server and chef were both amazing. I unfortunately did not catch their names but i shouldve because they were great! They did everything they could possibly do for us and more. They definitely made my 6 year olds morning better. It was like a completely different hotel from night to day. Morning people were definitely morning people, and the night shift must just be there for a paycheck.

This hotel is a great place to stay! It is always clean, beautiful grounds, great food and overall great amenities! With that said, the very best part about this place is the staff! I have traveled for 30 years and there are very few places I have stayed at that could come close to the amazing hospitality and service at this Hilton Garden Inn!! Everyone from their great housekeeping staff to their front desk agents, and the hotel restaurant staff are so incredibly courteous and personable! Karen, Matt, and Jody at the front desk are superb guest relation agents! I compare the restaurant food to The Famous Toastery! I always get the best food along with the best service! I checked in on 1/5. The gentleman working the front desk was very friendly, helpful, and informative. I did request a room on an upper floor facing the view of the city. He never hesitated to make the request. My daughter who had cancer had an appointment at the children's hospital across the street and she loves the view of the city. The room was very clean, the lobby was exquisite, and the vibe was calm. We really enjoyed our stay. The lady at check out the next day was also very friendly and helpful. Thank you for such an amazing stay!!

We had a great stay here when we came into town for a concert. We only stayed the weekend, but that was more than enough to know we'd stay here again and loved the location, close enough to be in downtown quickly, but not having to STAY downtown. All the staff were super helpful! Great customer service, friendly folks and very knowledgeable about the area. Room was a great size! A little dated, but not bad by any means. AC/Heat worked really well. Only grip was the thin walls to the adjoining room, could hear a lot of their activities. Breakfast was pretty good, albeit a little spendy, but it is what it is. They have a nice little sundries/market area, as well. PLENTY OF PARKING AROUND THE REAR OF THE HOTEL. We'll be back for sure!

Positive: The waiter in the restaunt was extremely nice! I wish I could remember his name because not only was he a great waiter, he was extremely kind. Negative: A dog had used the bathroom in 8 different spots at the elevator on the floor our room was on.There wasn't housekeeping staff to clean it for an additional 30 minutes after I stepped in it. Hold guests accountable by charging a fee if it isn't cleaned up.
