Highland Inn

The man who checked me in was nice. That's where nice ends. Dropped something on the floor by the sink, bent down to retrieve it and found 2 large dead bugs. Looked like they had been there for awhile. Bed really uncomfortable, and bizarrely, no normal pillows, but instead small.square pillows, the kind you use inside throw pillows. Very run down. Chipped paint, old carpet, stained couch. Tub and toilet were clean. Wouldn't stay here again. Uncomfortable and grossed me out.

Stayed here for 1 night on a road trip to New Orleans. We only paid £137 for 2 rooms so I wasn't expecting a lot, I am a 'budget' traveller who doesn't care about the facilities or decor as long as the room is clean that's all that matters. ||Upon checking in the receptionist seemed a bit annoyed and not that welcoming, again doesn't really phase me (but others might think a front desk person should be happy with a least a bit of customer service). When checking in you had to read through pages of terms and conditions on an ipad and then sign a waiver, also behind the desk was about 100 signs about what the receptionist can and can't authorize which I assume were put up because they probably receive a lot of complaints. ||We were given our two rooms. The room I stayed in smelt okay however

Very clean rooms. Front desk is very friendly. I worked night so I just wish the people around me were a little quieter.

Not the worst hotel I've stayed in. Beds were clean... hard, but clean. There was a wall that had something splashed on it. I cleaned it. When we first checked in, the 1st room they gave us was in worse shape and the fire alarm kept chirping, also had a weird smell. They made it right immediately and changed rooms. No bugs, water pressure was good, water was clear, contrary to other reviews. I would stay again. The lobby is closed, so no breakfast at this time. Make sure if you stay, slam the door closed because closing soft won't cut it. Complementary shampoo was used, cloth chair had 2 weird stains. I've attached pictures.

My husband stayed here bc of work. He was supposed to be working over there for a week, so paid for a week. However, after 3 nights the job was done. He was working nights and wasn’t notified that the job was done til around 12:30pm. He checked out by 1:30pm, and knew that day would be charged. He asked about getting a refund for the remainder days that were paid for but not going to be used and the lady refused to refund him. So they kept 3 days. What awful management. Hope they’re glad that they stole our money. Won’t be back.
