High Desert Motel

OK just out of the gate yes the rooms are very dated. Very dated. However if you basically just need a place to sleep while visiting the park this is ideal. You are right around the corner from Park Blvd that brings you into Joshua Tree National Park. Also lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Best part is the price. I think I paid $60 a night. Across the street at the famous Joshua Tree Inn you’ll pay 3x that. Like I said the room is date but clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Excellent shower pressure. The guy checking me in mentioned something about non-smoking room so booking you might want to be sure to ask for the appropriate type room. Luckily mine was non-smoking. Fantastic stop while visiting Joshua Tree National Park. Great value for the money. The room was well kept, clean, and spacious, with a very comfortable mattress. There’s even a pool in the back. Just be aware that the fridge in the room freezes everything. The only downside was that you couldn’t lock the door from the outside, so we only brought our luggage in right before locking ourselves in for the night.

Positive: Motels at this price point are usually dumps. Not here! Basic motel room. Very clean, everything worked, and convenient location. The front desk clerk was super helpful. We had a good stay and will be back! Negative: ""

Great staff in a great small town. The location is just outside of Joshua and the more than famous Joshua Tree state park entrance #2 a block past Rivian charge location. This is the high desert just as the name implies. Offering a great place to get away from the big city’s and breath in the day and see the stars at night.

Very happy! You get what you pay for and more here! Rooms were clean, air conditioners worked great, very safe parking lot and rooms (though no safe available) and service in the room was excellent! The bed cover may have had stains but we put that to the side and everything was super clean and location was close enough to all we wanted. No frills but amazing value!!!
