High Country Motorcycle Camp

Love this place! Brent is super nice and is extremely accommodating. We stayed in one of the chalets which was very clean. Just bring a sleeping bag as a comforter. Otherwise… only a fitted sheet, pillow and top sheet.

This is an amazing place. My planed stay was a campground nearby that had closed for the season. A Google search showed me this place and I'm glad I came. The owner was out of town but he left a friend in charge. He made sure coffee was available, a campfire was setup, and all ready in the bath house. The cost for one of the small cabins was the same some places charge for a tent site. It includes a small electric heater that was very effective since the cabin was insulated. A garage for the bike is a nice touch. The lack of light pollution allowed for a great view of the night sky with only the sound of the creek for a good night sleep. The camaraderie and stories with fellow motorcyclist around a campfire on this site is something I look forward to repeat.

How do more people not know about this place (although part of me is thankful they don't)??? It is off the beaten path, offering tent camping, chalets (2-person cabins with heat and wall outlets), rooms in the main house and a cabin that can accommodate 4 or 5 people, with it's own bathroom, kitchen and deck. And all of the sleeping accommodations are right next to (or very close to) a creek that runs through the property (good for fly fishing). Their are fire pits available (necessity for me🙂). And last but certainly not least, there is Brent and Maggie, the owners...two of the most gracious hosts I have come across at ANY motorcycle campground! I love them and their property and cannot wait to return!

My friend took me here and I didn’t know what to expect. We stayed in the main cabin and I am so glad we did. Immaculately clean! Beautiful views of the creek, friendly owners. I would definitely stay again and this is coming from a female who travels solo.

A quiet place 30 mins off the parkway. Beautiful stream running through and very friendly hosts. Also has outdoor Wi-Fi access across the property.
