Hideaway Resort

Only thing keeping me from giving this place a five star is that you do have neighbors you need to be mindful of. Everyone is generally minding their own business and respectful of each other though. Just have to remember you share the space. Beautiful cabins in the middle of a scenic retreat with a lakeview that is just gorgeous. Has multiple fire pits and outdoor areas for activities as well as plenty reason to stay inside cozy with yourself.

Great location and view of the lake from our patio doors, and a slight view of it from the front of our unit. There is a nice deck with a table that is built on the back that seats 9 people and has a great view of the lake. We were in unit 4, and it was small, rustic, and a bit dated, but it was very clean. We knew it was rustic and small, but it was a good trade off for the views. AC window unit worked great for our Oct visit, but there is just one--in the kitchen, so you have to leave the bedroom doors open at night. Ceiling fans in bedrooms and kitchen worked great. Beds were comfortable The shower was tiny, and that's coming from a 5'4" 125lb lady. No tub. Nice walkable area with available grills, a pavilion area, and a bench and porch swing across the street just steps away. The water

I've been coming here for 8 years in Cabin #3 to be with family. The past three years it has consistently been bad. This year, again I was very disappointed. The pool was not available to swim in, it was green. (second year in a row) The bed spread has been there for over 3 years. The place smells musty/moldy. There is a hole behind the couch. The water from the faucet smells horrible and tastes nasty. (don't drink it!) The windows and screen need replacing. The pavilion area was nice to visit, but we had to clear the trash every time. PLEASE invest & update this property!

Very cool and unique vacation cabin. Most of the cabins are actually duplexes, not single-unit cabins. You share an interior wall. No one was there, so it was really nice, since we have a 6- and a 4-year-old who can be noisy, which is why we prefer Airbnb. The kids loved it. They have a dock you can fish off of, a ground, canoes, fire pit Definitely the best value for your money you can spend. I would stay there again, but I would do cabin #9, which is a single home cabin and has no shared walls. A great deal even with that. Hotels don't offer all you get, and it's cheaper than a hotel room. Don't hesitate.

For the money, this was an ok place. It was very small but quaint. The one problem that we kept on having was the microwave and the TV would go off without notice and come back on without notice several minutes or an hour later. It wasn't the breaker, because we checked it. We had no control over when and if it happened. The bed was a double and was very soft. The way the place was heated was with a space heater which, surprisingly was sufficient. The location is very isolated but, if that is what your looking for, then this is the place. You have views of the lake on both sides of the house. Overall, it was nice just to get away for a night or two, even though the lodging was sub par.
