Hidden Hideaway Campground & Marina

Awesome experience! My friends and I are from FL, and we recently took a week-long trip to Ohio. Disclaimer, we came for the trains, so if you like your peace and quiet, this IS NOT the place for you!!! Amd you can clearly see on maps theres an active railroad running down the middle of it, so dont say you didnt expect that Karen! 👀👀 We stayed 4 nights here and we had everything we couldve needed! We got the campsite closest to the tracks; Right behind the tree thats to the left when you enter the grounds. On the grounds, we also had access to bathrooms, a shower, a convenient store down the road, a small playground, a marina, and some picnic tables on our site. The grounds are also about a half mile from an overlook of the Sandusky Bay, and you can access the pier and park next to the w

PEOPLE NEED TO KNOW that this campground has a train track running right through the middle of it and Yes, the train runs all night long, back and fourth every hour on the hour. You'll get absolutely no rest.no quiet.no sleep.cant think or hear from all the noise. This was the worst campground experience for us. We had to pack up and go sleep at Walmart parking lot the remainder of the night and then asked for a refund for the second night we paid for already.the refund wasn't hard to get back tho so that was good.

If you are a trainwatcher, this campground is for you! I spent 4 nights there and it was amazing with all the trains! The Norfolk Southern Chicago Line splits the campground property in half and it’s packed with trains. It also has a bathroom and shower, and a little playground. The campground is waterfront with a boat ramp. Can’t wait to go back here!

I brought my son and his teenage friends here to enjoy the fantastic opportunities for train watching that this beautiful campground has to offer.

Nope, at my age, I see red flags when they wave now. When the owner or management whatever is sparky to a customer and passive aggressive, then I won't even consider gracing it with mine , my large family's or even larger crowd of friends presence. We all vacation together twice a year at a different campground voted on. I can promise you this will be a NO and a huge loss financially for you, but I'm sure you have something smarta$$ed to spewing, huh? tag you're it, Mr. professionality. I def wanted to help out your 4.2 star review a little.. oh, oops, guess that won't help, will it. I'm the queen of passive-aggressive.
