About Hickory Run Campground

This is a campground that has a long driveway from the main road so it's very hard to capture street signs from such a long distance but we did capture the signs within the campground pictures of the camp RVs and inside the office

Where do I even start tried to find the zero star button and the lowest it goes is 1. Me and my family sorry let me change that group of 12 different sites have came to this campground for well over 25 years and for the last 4-5 years it’s gone down hill to the point where there were barely and campers this year. First out of the 12 campsites in our group 8 had multiple problems with there “Manager” or if you can even call Charlie a manager only thing he’s good at it picking fights and yelling at people in the most unprofessional way I’ve ever seen. My brother had just gotten to the campsite paid for his day pass and guess you you guessed it Charlie comes racing down to my site saying that we are being charged for another site because we had set up a tent for my cousins to stay it and he o

We had the best season at this campground, it was our first season there. We loved it so much we became permanent campers. They plan a bunch of fun events. The staff is amazing and willing to help you with whatever you need. Can’t wait for next season for all the fun activities and the amazing people that I met there. Daniel and Michelle Callahan See you next year

NO Shower pressure at all. When we got there it was fantastic. Campsite was nice with electricity and water (we were in a tent). The people were great, had a fun craft time and fishing. But when it came time to take a shower, (prefacing that we knew we had to use quarters to even use the shower), you might want to use at least $1 worth for 8 minutes or more because you get nothing but little droplets. I might as well had used the hose because it had more pressure than any shower. There was only one that my husband said actually worked but it was always taken (on the men’s side, also being 1 of 6 showers total). Actually 1 of the showers said “out of order”. And I noticed the other side of the campground’s shower area was still out of order. So if you stay further away you’d need to drive

Horrible place horrible. Beautiful to drive into, then you see the dated playground. The “lounge” a sit’s labeled is a room with a 1x4 ledge around the edge for drinks that used to be an arcade. Now there is darts and tables. No air conditioning. Cute they labeled it a lounge after the owner argued with the arcade machines owner and he ripped his stuff out of there. The playgrounds are older than most gen x’ers. Rusted, splintering, and barely functional. Rock just washes away every time it rains and makes it hard to maneuver the grounds, and the illegal bingo they now advertise as “game in the rec hall” also hot and un- air conditioned … they allow people to smoke right at the open windows so it has the smell of fresh cigarette smoke during the “family” bingo game. The same game the once

We just ended our Columbus Day Weekend camping trip. We had a change in plans and needed a more local campground, HRC had spots available! Despite the rain and wind, we had a great weekend! The fall fest and hayride were both so fun and our toddler loved all of the activity tables. She loved looking at the horses and swinging on the swings. The campground is beautiful .. it’s a place for good old fashioned camping! We will definitely be back next year!
