Hickory Hollow Resort

Great, clean, well kept cabins at an affordable price for our family of 7. The pool was clean. Warsaw is 20 minutes one way, Clinton is 20 minutes the other way. This was our family's 3rd time visiting. My sisters and I have agreed to make this a yearly trip.

The water smelled like sewer and the lighting was dimmed. The window blinds was broken and missing some so anybody can see in from the outside. For the amount of money that my husband and I paid for just the two of us in one night, you would think that management could put the toilet paper on the roll and we shouldn’t have to take our own trash out when we checked out. We were charged 3% more for using debit card. For one night stay at this place cost us $110.00. Very expensive for two people in one night.

Tl;dr Owners are rude and unwelcoming with poor hosting skills and less than desirable amenities, but pool was nice. ||||When you arrive, the office is locked with a sign to call a number. Chances are they either don't answer the phone, or you don't have cell service. ||Then, since it's connected to 'The Lodge,' guests assume it's an extension of the office and try to enter through there, resulting in our family's cabin stay being repeatedly interrupted by lost strangers. ||||When we asked to tour 'The Lodge,' we were led through a messy hall via the storefront rather than through the front door, and the AC wasn't yet set up-an hour after check in, mind you, smelling like mold. The toilet and outside patio were not cleaned and required to be brought to owner's attention to attend to. ||||A

First time to Hickory Hollow. The owners Doug and Tonya are nice and welcoming. I’ve met some very nice people who camp here. There is a nice pool and laundry room. And close to a dollar general. We plan to come back.
