●The rooms are just adequate, if you keep your expectations low, but the real frustration and problem is the lady at the front desk who claims to be the manager. ●She charged our card $130 for a golf cart rental for our 2 day stay. Their website, our confirmation email and our receipt, clearly state that there is no charge. Had we known there would be a cost, we absolutely would not have rented it. ●She admitted the website needs to be updated, yet she deflected responsibility. She falsely claimed she had told us over the phone (a claim completely contradicted by their website, our booking confirmation and our receipt), and bluntly refused to discuss it in person, saying, "No refunds, I'm not discussing this further, we are done here." ●Calling her a liar and a thief feels harsh, but so

Had a guided fishing trip that left out of Bucksaw Marina early on Friday morning. Stayed at the lodge overnight on Thursday to get an early start. The staff made it easy for a late check-in due to us driving down from Independence Mo and wouldn't arrive till later in the day. The room was clean and inviting. The bed was comfortable. Exactly what we needed for just an overnight stay to lay our heads. They did have a perfect little coffee bar with Keurig cups with different flavors for a great early morning pickup. The Marina is just a short walk from the lodge, no need to drive down. The fish were biting good and we just made the 11 am checkout and the staff was accommodating. Can't thank them enough for that. Me and my family went on father's day weekend. I booked two half day trips with Josh Jackson for a crappie guide. My brother and dad went on the morning trip and me and my son's on the afternoon trip. It was an absolute awesome experience. We caught fish nonstop. Everybody that went had a blast. Me not knowing much about crappie fishing didn't affect anything. Josh was great with my boys and taught us all. He cleaned our fish and bagged them up for us after. Josh Jackson is a top notch human being and fishing guide. He also does catfish trips which I have had a blast in too. They have everything you could ask for. Excellent owners, and the best fishing guide possibly in the country. This place is a must.

Beautiful location, met some wonderful people but horrible staff. First thing in the morning we watched staff berate a family over them asking for towels and discussing a issue with there room- Staff made several comments about guests being "junkies" and how there was "so many scammers ". A man who claimed to be the owner told the woman that brought me towels she needed to "wear gloves in every room I am not paying workers comp if you get stuck with a needle" . I came for a recovery retreat to support my sister and will never be back, hearing the staff tell a person "all money isn't good money" as they are trying to pay and getting name called and screamed at was more than I can stand. When I asked for a manager a woman informed she was the manager and if I had issues I could leave as well

Fishing was great. Enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very friendly. Nice clean place. Full of beautiful scenery and wild life. Very will maintained. Lots of camping spots and well shaded.
